Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1376

Chapter 1376:

Raymond shook his head. “No, she’s very secretive about that place. She always makes sure to drive there on her own.”

Eileen then asked, “Does she return looking happy and glowing?”

“No,” Raymond replied. “She actually looks upset every time she comes back from that place.”

“That’s strange,” Eileen said with a frown.

Just as she was about to continue, she suddenly felt a firm grip around her waist.

Bryan leaned in closer, his eyes locking onto hers. “What’s strange about it? Explain,” he said.

Eileen froze, unable to find the right words. A subtle but undeniable tension filled the air. She could feel the danger creeping in. After all, a married woman like her wasn’t supposed to know so much about how affairs worked.

She realized she had spoken carelessly. It wasn’t just that she knew—she had seemed practically like an expert in this field.

“Maybe they had an argument?” Raymond chimed in, completely oblivious to the tension between Bryan and Eileen. “Or her lover might be seeing someone else. That would explain why Amoura is always upset when she visits the villa. Or maybe she feels wronged by Javier and her lover doesn’t know how to comfort her? Or… who knows, maybe she has forced someone to stay in that…”

Raymond’s mind raced, piecing together the puzzle. A surge of excitement coursed through him as he realized the potential implications of this discovery. Eileen decided not to overthink things for now.

“Raymond’s onto something,” she declared. “We need to take a closer look at that villa. But since you both have been swamped with work lately, I can take care of this myself.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Dawson,” Raymond replied, relieved. He found Amoura rather intimidating.

During his time working for Amoura, he had always felt like she had a Jekyll and Hyde personality. It creeped him out and made him want to keep his distance.

Besides, before leaving the Deleon family’s home, he had trashed some of Amoura’s stuff in a fit of rage. Showing his face to Amoura again would be like asking for trouble. He knew her unpredictable nature well, and she would just slap him when she was angry. He believed he should steer clear of her.

“No problem,” Eileen said. “By the way, any progress on that investigation I asked you to do? About Amoura’s appearance before her plastic surgery?”

Eileen had a hunch about that, but she needed solid evidence to confirm her suspicions.

“A plastic surgeon used a computer program to generate images of what Amoura might have looked like before,” Raymond explained. “But none of them rang a bell. I told Mr. Dawson about it, and he asked the surgeon to keep trying. We get a few new pictures every day, but so far, no luck…”

Raymond, midway through twirling a forkful of pasta, paused, gently placing his fork back on his plate. He straightened his posture and looked at the two individuals seated across from him.

Eileen cast a sideways glance at Bryan. Her bright eyes seemed to drink in the sharp lines of his face.
