The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Running his hand through his hair, a drop of water falls from the leaves to his lips and Nathaniel licks off the bitter taste. The memory of him and Alexandra runs through his mind and he pauses wishing for nothing more than to erase that sweet yet bitter memory of her.

Holding unto that memory, he was sure was only going to hurt him since he had already lost her to Adam.

"So is him you really love Alexandra"

Nathaniel closes his eyes, hoping it was him with her having a picnic in the woods and not Adam.

"He will never treat you like you deserve"

Nathaniel couldn't imagine life with Alexandra, if there was one thing he was sure about was that Adam didn't deserve Alexandra. He doesn't deserve to be by her side, he doesn't deserve to win against him, for Alexandra to pick his side and try to call off their wedding.

"What exactly am I lacking?" He opens his eyes aware that he wasn't perfect but he was certainly the right mate for her until Alexandra picked Adam Hawthorn.

The same man she didn't want hear about, the man she has claimed to detest yet she had allowed him into her bedroom and almost tried to keep it away from him but somehow everything blew up in her face and he got to know about.

As her face crosses through his mind,. Nathaniel wasn't sure which side of her was ever real and sincere when they spent time together. Was it the fearless Alpha who loves to set boundaries and piss him off everytime or was it the mate who wanted to be by his side the day Veronica had tried to kill her. The one who he wanted to protect with his life; the same one who begged him not to leave his side.

As memories invaded his mind, tears brims down his cheeks and for the first time in so many years, Nathaniel could feel his heart in a bleeding. No one has made him feel worse than himself, he tried harder to try and make her his flaws but Alexandra was complicated, maybe too complicated that he couldn't handle her and so she went to Adam Hawthorn.

"This is ridiculous, I'm crying" He chuckles, wiping the tears off his face

At the end, Adam won over him causing him to feel even worse, it wasn't a battle

or anything but remembering how Alexandra answered positively to his questions only proved that she had planned it all along with Adam and was just trying to make a fool of him. He wonders if he she was just waiting for the wedding day to make a fool of him by standing him up in front of his pack members.

"How could you try to do this to me?" He stands up, and sits against a fallen tree, memories of him and Alexandra together jumps into his mind causing him to smile at each one that passes by.

Those were beautiful memories and he kept them so close to his heart when he started liking her and now he was going to discard them for his own piece of mind.

Alexandra belonged to another man, someone from her pack who she has always been fond of and Nathaniel was not going to try and fight for her. If anything he was going to stay away from Guerrero pack and continue to dwell in crimson pack.

"This is where it all ends" He glances around the quiet woods, the familiar breeze that blows whenever his steps into Guerrero territory.

"My mate or former mate brought me here now I have nothing to come here for, this is really the end of my journey to Guerrero pack. I do hope I will never have to come here again" He stands up, inhaling the cold breeze, nods his head affirmatively, aware that Alexandra was going to be happy right by Adam's side.

Even though Nathaniel saw the emotions in her eyes, it was telling him something else but the words she uttered said a different thing and he would pick her words than her emotions since he clearly heard her while he was eavesdropping on them.

"What a decietful woman girl you are" Remembering how she always frowned when he called her girl, a smile creeps on Nathaniel's face and he wonders what name Adam would call her when they are together.

He frowns, the thought of her been together with Alexandra makes his blood boils since he wanted her to be his and his alone.

Nathaniel couldn't understand why she played him like a grand piano, leading him on and making think that they could be mate when in reality, she has already chosen Adam. As the memory continues to play in his head, Nathaniel wasn't sure if Alexandra had planned to play him alone or if this was something the entire pack has come together to plan since they knew his story.

Even though it wasn't just rumours, he has never made her feel like he was a ruthless Alpha, he treated her softly and let her see another side of him, he let her into his life and wanted nothing more than to be by her side all the time but Alexandra wanted a different thing and Nathaniel was going to adhere to her words as always.

"Guerrero pack never wanted me anyway since she didn't want me"

"Maybe it was my personality that scared her off, or was it the kiss or maybe the rumours about me"

Whatever it was that made Alexandra play him, Nathaniel wasn't sure and didn't want to find her because in his heart, he has already vowed to put her behind him and move on because somehow, what still mattered to him was his pack.
