The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

"What are you doing?"

"You cannot do this Nathaniel"

"Alexandra!"

"Nathaniel!" She yells back "Please go home"

"Is that it?"

"What?" Tears crowd her eyes but she blinks rapidly

"Is that what I am to you?"

"What are you talking about?"

"How dare you Alexandra?"

"Just go home Nathaniel and quit disturbing Alexandra and me" Adam chimes in and Alexandra wished she could throw a punch to his face.

"Was that your plan all along Alexandra?"

"I don't know what you are talking about?"

"Yes, you do!" Nathaniel yells, his eyes darkening casting fear over Alexandra's body, she has never seen that side of him for all she knows was the sweet Alpha who was always by her side when she needed him.

"Tell me the truth while I'm still patient with you"

"There was no plan Nathaniel, it just happened"

"I asked you a lot of times yet you denied it"

"I...I couldn't tell you the truth"

"Shut your mouth Alexandra" Nathaniel runs his hand through his hair chuckling.

He couldn't tell anymore if this was just a nightmare or reality. Deep down, he had thought he was the better mate and had done everything to make sure she was comfortable with him. Despite the rumors she heard, Nathaniel lived just to prove to her that there was another side of him and all along, he thought he was doing it right.

"You had the chance to"

"I..."

"You don't have any excuse, Alexandra"

"I know Nathaniel" she smiles sadly, hoping he would look deep into her eyes and maybe he would find out the entire truth and know that this was just an act that she couldn't talk about so she doesn't expose her plan.

"You should have told me earlier"

"You should have known your place Alpha instead of making a fool of yourself" Adam shoots quickly

"A fool" Nathaniel laughs as the words blare in his ears.

Adam wasn't far from the truth, he was a fool for her. Just for her he had broken

all his rules, melted his hard wall, and let out another side of him that no one has seen not even his friends.

"I let you in Alexandra, how can you do this to me?"

"I'm sorry but it just happened" Alexandra states, firmly.

"Sorry? You are not sorry for anything, if there is something I realize, you are

never sorry for anything"

"How could you say that?"

"Why me?"

"Shut your mouth! Don't you dare call my name, you have no right"

Taken aback, Alexandra's eyes widened, she knew he will be pissed off but didn't expect him to go that far. She thought she meant a lot to him and despite anything, he would fight for her but little did she know that Nathaniel was pained, she had hurt him deeply and he wanted nothing more to do with her especially as she was with Adam. It only meant one thing and Nathaniel didn't want to embrace the truth even when it was staring down at him.

"Is Alpha Nathaniel to you"

"I...I..." she pauses uncertain what else to say, Nathaniel was boiling with rage, there was nothing she could do with Adam by her side.

"You lost that right when you thought playing me for a fool was the best way" "What are you saying?"

"You have your Adam by your side. If you wanted him so badly, you should have had him all along instead of going through this foolishness"

"What foolishness?"

"You used you"

"I didn't"

"What do you call this then?"

"I don't know".

"You took me for a fool, the both of you played me for a fool all along and I didn't see it"

"Because you're dumb" Adam chimes in, "I told you to stay away from Alexandra, you should have listened to me then maybe you will still have your dignity to keep but now even that is gone because you let yourself be mesmerized by a mate who doesn't give a shit about you"

"Shut your mouth!" Nathaniel states aloud, looking at Adam all he wanted to do was beat him up but the pain in his heart wouldn't let him.

Alexandra hurt him and he needed time to get over all of this before fighting anyone.

"I cannot since you are talking to my woman"

"Your woman" Nathaniel couldn't believe what he just heard since he had claimed Alexandra and although she was a bit scared, she also enjoyed it a little too much.

"Yes Alexandra is my woman and we will soon be together"

"Is that why you came here?"

"Yes"

"Adam is going to stay by my side"

"Tell me the truth Alexandra, what's going to happen to us?"

Adam scoffs. "Isn't it obvious? There is no us. Alexandra is now mine and mine alone" He states causing her to cringe at his words.

"I want to hear you say it, Alexandra"

"Why?" She asks almost pleadingly hoping he won't do it for it will break her heart to hurt him but what she didn't realize is that she already hurt him the moment he saw her in the woods talking with Adam.

"I want to hear it from the horse's mouth and not the horse's ass" Nathaniel looks at Adam and he frowns.

Nathaniel was an arrogant man but Adam was going to control his temper, he wouldn't let anything get in the way of his plans to ruin Alexandra and become take the Alpha position that she stole from him.

"Even at this moment, you choose to be arrogant"

"Really?"

"Yes"

"Do you honestly think your arrogance is going to get you anywhere?"

"Isn't it?".

"This is probably why Alexandra made a fool of you, you are so gullible"

"What did you just say?"

"You heard me, didn't you?"

"You got some nerve Adam Hawthorn. You have no idea who you are messing with?"

"Oh yes, I do" Adam smirks. "I've heard the stories of the big bad Alpha" he howls, mocking Nathaniel.

"Adam" Alexandra mutters but no one heard her. "There is no need for that, I'm sure Nathaniel will find his way out," she says aloud getting Adam to quite down

Looking at Adam, Nathaniel drops his gaze, averting his eyes toward Alexandra. No one has humiliated him and left him alive but today the woman he thought was his mate had done so together with Adam and he wasn't sure what to do to the two of them.
