The CEO's Mischievous Little Bride

Chapter 697 You Never Told Me

Before long, Vera came over with Teddy to join the others.

"Hey, everyone, dinner's ready!" Cindy called out, gathering everyone to the dining

room.

Vera and Molly had skipped lunch, so at dinner, while others chatted, they focused on eating.

Susan, too, was eating heartily, partly because she was annoyed with Randall for being clueless and partly because she naturally had a good appetite.

Shawn enjoyed seeing the three girls in the family eat heartily. As he got older, he appreciated people who ate with gusto. He couldn't stand the idea of someone who nibbled at their food and wiped their mouth after every bite.

He even thought such people lacked good fortune.

Patrick occasionally put food into Vera's bowl. Teddy, sitting on Patrick's lap, watched Patrick's fork and knife move, and eventually, a droplet of drool escaped from his mouth as he watched Vera eat.

Seeing Patrick serve food, Teddy raised his chubby hand, ready to grab Patrick's hand. Patrick instructed the servant, "Bring Teddy's bottle."

The servant returned shortly with a bottle of freshly made formula, but Teddy, in a fit of bad temper, threw it aside, fixated on Patrick's hand.

Patrick told Teddy, "You can eat when you can sit up by yourself."

Teddy cried in frustration at Patrick's demand.

Vera glanced at the crying Teddy and continued eating.

Before bed, Sebastian seemed to genuinely consider taking Teddy to sleep with him, but Molly quickly stopped him. "He can stay up until three in the morning. Can you?"

Even if he could, Molly pushed Sebastian back to their bedroom.

Vera looked at the rejected Teddy and clicked her tongue. "You look so cute, but why are you such a handful?"

Randall went back to his group of IT guys to discuss how to be gentle with their girlfriends. They concluded that the key was to agree with whatever their girlfriends said. Randall found this very reasonable.

So, for the next few days, Randall agreed to everything Susan did, to the point where Susan asked, "Randall, what's up with you?"

At night, after Molly had taken a bath and was in her pajamas, ready to blow-dry her hair, Sebastian's phone rang.

Molly immediately turned off the hairdryer and interrogated, "Who's calling you this late?"

Her domineering attitude was very much like the Olteran family.

Sebastian answered with a smile and put the call on speaker to reassure Molly that it was a man calling. "Sam, what's up?"

Sam, at the police station, had just finished making instant noodles and returned to his desk. He asked, "Mr. Olteran, why didn't you come to work today? I brought two sausages to add to our noodles. If you don't come, I'll eat them both."

Sebastian replied, "Go ahead and eat them. I'm with Molly tonight, so I won't be coming in."

"Really?" Sam was surprised. "Mr. Olteran, Molly's willing to make up with you?"

Hearing this, Molly put down the hairdryer, crossed her arms, and looked at Sebastian, ready to settle accounts.

Sebastian quickly turned off the speakerphone, not wanting Sam's bluntness to make Molly uncomfortable. He continued the call privately, giving instructions for the next day's work.

After hanging up, Molly, in her tank top and shorts, approached Sebastian. "Does everyone at the station know we had a fight and I kicked you out?"

Sebastian, of course, wouldn't bring personal matters to work. "I never said anything."

Molly gave him a sidelong glance. She knew Sebastian well enough to believe he wouldn't discuss personal matters, so she urged, "Go take a shower. The blue toothbrush is new, and I soaked it in hot water for you."

Sebastian smiled at Molly, knowing she cared for him.

While he showered, Molly quickly dried her hair and then texted Sam, "What did you

mean by what you said about me and Sebastian?"

"Nothing, just surprised Mr. Olteran managed to make up with you."

"How did you know we fought?"

Sam quickly replied, "Everyone at the station knows. You've been married for about a month, right? Normally, you'd be inseparable, but Mr. Olteran has been working regular hours lately. Recently, he's been alternating between day and night shifts. Either he doesn't want to see you, or you kicked him out. Do you think it's possible he doesn't want to see you?"

Molly asked, "Who else knows I threw a fit?"

"Pretty much everyone, even the security guards."

Molly was speechless.

Five minutes later, when Sebastian came out, the bedroom lights were off, and Molly was lying in bed, not playing with her phone.

Sebastian, guided by the dim light, went to the other side of the bed and got under the covers.

He moved closer to Molly, wrapped his arm around her waist, and gently stroked her stomach. "Are you asleep?"

Molly turned to face him, her voice soft in the night. "Sebastian, everyone at the station knows we fought and I kicked you out?"

you know

"I know."

"Why didn't you tell me?" Molly's tone was gentle, even though she was questioning him. Her guilt made her voice tender.

Sebastian propped himself up on one arm and moved closer to Molly, his breath warm and smelling of her favorite toothpaste. "If I told you, you'd worry about me being ridiculed and get even more upset, trying to save face for me."

Sebastian's words made Molly feel even more guilty.

Sebastian continued, "It was my fault for making you unhappy. Let everyone think I'm henpecked."

Molly, feeling wronged, finally voiced her feelings. "You always trick me, threaten me, and coax me into saying 'I love you.' You never say it to me. Even on our wedding day, you didn't say 'I love you.""

Sebastian looked into Molly's tearful eyes, his throat tightening.

Thinking back, he realized he had never seriously told Molly he loved her. Whenever she asked, he would joke, "You cause so much trouble, how could I love you?"

Later, Molly would often declare at home, "Sebastian loves me the most." "Sebastian spoils me the most." "Sebastian truly loves me."

She said it so often that Sebastian started to believe he had told her he loved her frequently.

But the truth was, it was always Molly saying it alone.noveldrama
