Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1373

Chapter 1373:

“The company will announce Sanford’s departure,” Raymond explained to Leandro after leaving Bryan’s office. “But they won’t go into details. Don’t spread any rumors, okay?”

Leandro nodded quickly. “Okay, I understand. But I’m a bit worried… I get a welcome party while Sanford has to resign… Sanford’s going to feel terrible.”

“Look, if Sanford doesn’t understand the gravity of his actions, he’s only making things worse for himself. No one in this industry would want a subordinate who disregards orders. Mr. Dawson is offering him the most generous severance package possible, which means he won’t publicly announce that Sanford acted without his authorization. People might assume Mr. Dawson instructed him to do it, but Mr. Dawson won’t clarify that to protect his reputation. What more do you expect Mr. Dawson to do?” Raymond said, his expression serious.

After a brief pause, Raymond continued, “When Sanford tried to steal those secrets, he was trying to make a name for himself. That kind of ambition can easily lead to mistakes. This should be a wake-up call for him. If Sanford realizes that Mr. Dawson is actually doing him a favor, Mr. Dawson might even help him more in the future.”

Raymond knew Bryan well; he understood that Bryan wouldn’t completely abandon Sanford. He wouldn’t have bothered explaining all of this if he didn’t care that Leandro might be displeased with Bryan’s actions.

Leandro finally understood. “Thank you, Raymond,” he said, a look of comprehension dawning on his face. “I get it now. I’ll have a word with Sanford later and make sure he doesn’t harbor any resentment towards Mr. Dawson.”

Having settled things with Leandro and sorted out the arrangements for the welcome party, Raymond headed back to the top floor. As he passed the secretary’s office, he spotted Eileen chatting with a group of secretaries. He stopped in his tracks and veered toward them.noveldrama

“Mrs. Dawson,” he called out, sounding proud, convinced he had done a lot for the company.

Eileen leaned against the desk, her gaze sweeping over him. “I’m not involved with the company anymore, and I’m certainly not your boss. You don’t need to report every little thing to me. It’s really quite unnecessary for you to talk to me about anything.”

Eileen’s biting tone caught Raymond completely off guard. It took him a moment to recover. “Please don’t be mad at me. I couldn’t just report to you at that time. It was an urgent situation, and I barely had time to give Mr. Dawson a quick update. I—”

“Exactly,” Eileen interjected, her voice calm. “Just report everything to Mr. Dawson from now on. I haven’t said anything else. Why are you so flustered?”

Raymond blinked. But how could he not be flustered? The calmer Eileen seemed, the more anxious he became. He could feel the eyes of the other secretaries on him. He wasn’t sure if pushing the issue would set Eileen off, especially considering her unstable hormones during pregnancy.

So, Raymond bowed his head respectfully. “I have a lot of work to do. I’ll leave now…”
