Chapter 348: CCTV footage

Damon’s POV

I was feeling happy seeing Silas and Kael make up. And last night, I had a dream in which I saw our past life. I saw everything.

And today, when I talked with Theron and Lysander, they said they had the same dream.

It means only the three of us remember our past life now, and Silas and Kael do not.

And Velric—at first, I really thought he was different, but now I know he is my own son.

Now I am feeling guilty for what I did in the past. In the Lupin pack, when those soldiers said Velric was infected and they wanted to take him with them, only Silas was fighting for Velric, even though he didn’t even know Velric was his son.

And I was forcing him to send Velric to them. That’s why I broke the hug with Silas and now glance at Velric.

He is standing behind Silas, clinging to Kael’s legs with his tiny hands.

I kneel and open my arms wide.

"Velric, come here. Didn’t you miss your daddy?" As I say this, Velric comes running to me and hugs me.

When I glance ahead at Silas, he and Kael are looking at me with shocked eyes.

"What happened to both of you? Why are you looking at me like this?" I ask.

"Damon, by any chance, do you also remember our past?"

As those words leave Silas’s mouth, I immediately understand that Kael and Silas also remember our past.

"So, you two also remember our past life?" I asked, just to confirm.

"Yes," Kael and Silas replied together.

Honestly, I was shocked that Silas and Kael also remembered everything. In fact, now we all remember our past life.

"What, really?" I said, and all of us were shocked. Velric didn’t even understand what was happening, still, he also widened his eyes just copying us.

And we all sat down to talk. I had already called Theron to know what was happening on his side ’cause he had gone.

’Cause he had found the information about Krivan’s warehouse. But Theron told me he was coming back and he would tell me after coming back.

So now we were all only waiting for him to come. And I am feeling like it’s a dream that all of us are together again, and this time we are fated mates. Which is a really strong bond created by fate.

Silas was sitting between me and Kael and Velric was in Lysander’s lap.

Silas’s voice suddenly sounded really serious, which made me worried, like what had happened now?

"What happened, Silas?" I asked quickly.

"Damon, earlier when Velric and I were in the café, I saw someone who was sitting ahead of us, but I had doubts that he was there to listen to our conversation, ’cause there was coffee in front of him which he didn’t even touch. And when I looked and went to the restroom, he disappeared."

Silas was shaking even while saying that. I pulled him closer to me, letting him lean on my chest as he continued to speak.

"When I asked Atlas and Shine if they had seen that guy, they denied it, but Velric said yes, ’cause that guy smiled at him. I know I’m not sure yet, but what if that guy was sent by Krivan?"

I understood what Silas was feeling, and hearing Silas, Kael quickly got up and brought his laptop and was doing something on it.

"What was the name of the café you went to?" Kael asked, and Silas replied.

After hearing the name, Kael continued doing something on the laptop, and when I glanced, I saw he was trying to hack the café’s CCTV footage. I know it’s hard, but not impossible for Kael. He can do anything in the cyber world.

But he was taking long, like always. That’s why I took out my mobile from my pocket, and seeing that, Velric quickly came down from the sofa that was in front of us, from beside Lysander, and got on the sofa as he sat beside me. I smiled, ’cause he was super cute. How can someone be this cute?

That’s why I let him watch cartoons on my mobile and glanced at Silas. His whole focus was on Kael’s laptop, so I stretched my hand and poked my index finger on his soft cheek. As I did, he turned his head toward me.

"What are you doing, Damon? Can’t you see I’m busy?"

I was about to answer him, but just then I heard, "Found it!"

As Kael said that, Lysander also stood up from his seat and came beside Kael. I also peeked into it and saw Kael had found the CCTV footage of the guy Silas was talking about. And when we looked at his face, it was oddly familiar.

"Don’t you think this guy’s face looks oddly familiar?" I said.

"Yeah, he kinda looks like Krivan, but his face cut is different. That’s why we didn’t notice it at first," Lysander said.

Hearing him, when I focused and tried to match Krivan and that guy’s face, I found it was really similar. And it was only one thing—it means Krivan was using his magic to hide his appearance and was sitting there. But what did he want to listen to?

’Cause Silas only went there to meet his friends, and I don’t think it was worth listening to. Don’t tell me Krivan had made a plan, and it was something in his plan.
