Chapter 861 Mr. Reynolds' Fertility Questioned
Taylor overheard and finally understood why the triplets were so outstanding. It turned
out they had a mother who was particularly good at praising them.
With such high emotional intelligence, it was no surprise that Phoebe raised such smart and polite children.
She stood up and tore off the notes from her face. Phoebe, holding Ethan, walked up to her.
"You're back. Oh, my back! Taking care of kids is really hard work," Taylor said.
Phoebe smiled and said, "Thank you for your hard work today. The kids can be a handful, but we appreciate your help."
Seeing that Phoebe's attitude towards her hadn't changed, Taylor felt relieved. "It's nothing, really. Spending time with them made me realize how quickly time passes. Brandon even called me earlier, joking that I was having so much fun here that I didn't want to go back."noveldrama
Theodore walked over with the triplets. "It's getting late. The kids need to rest. You should go back."
The smile on Taylor's face froze. She glared at Theodore and said, "Am I bothering you here? You come back and immediately want me to leave. Are you the master of this house?"
Theodore's face darkened. Taylor's words hit a sore spot for him.
Seeing that the mother and son were about to argue, Phoebe noticed Grace coming out of the bathroom and quickly called out, "Grace, it's been a while!"
Her loud voice diverted the attention of the mother and son, and they all looked at Grace.
Grace ran over, hugged Phoebe, and said, "Phoebe, I never expected that the next time I saw you, you would be a mother of three. Life is full of surprises."
Phoebe beamed and lightly patted her. "We haven't been apart that long. Why does it sound like it's been years?"
"Not seeing you for a day feels like an eternity."
"You've been feeling like that for an eternity? What about Theodore?" Taylor teased. She turned to look at Hubert, Boris, and Noomi, who were dozing off beside Theodore. They had been very active in the afternoon and evening, so they were probably tired. For some reason, seeing them cling to Theodore didn't make Taylor feel uncomfortable. It seemed natural for them to be close to him.
"It's getting late. We should be heading out. Theodore, could you show us to the door?" Taylor said, checking the time.
Phoebe went over and pulled Hubert, Boris, and Noomi away. "Alright, say goodbye to Taylor and Grace."
Reluctantly, Hubert, Boris, and Noomi obediently said their goodbyes. As soon as they walked out of the villa and the door closed, Hubert, Boris, and Noomi started crying.
They had so much fun in the afternoon that they didn't want Taylor and Grace to leave. Phoebe squatted down, hugged them, and gently patted their backs. After a while, their crying gradually stopped.
Noomi sniffled and asked Phoebe, "Mom, will Taylor come to see us again? I really like her."
"Yes, there will be many opportunities in the future," Phoebe said softly.
Outside the villa, Taylor heard Hubert, Boris, and Noomi's sad cries and felt reluctant to leave. She wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.
"Wouldn't it be great if Hubert, Boris, and Noomi were my grandchildren?" Taylor said, glaring at Theodore in disappointment. "You've worked so hard all these years; why did you never get Phoebe pregnant with your child?"
Theodore's expression turned icy.
This was a sore spot for him, and Taylor kept bringing it up, as if he had no regard for Theodore's feelings.
Grace saw that Theodore was about to get angry and said, "Mom, you can't blame Theodore for this. I talked to Evelyn this afternoon."
"What did she say?"
"She said that before the divorce, Phoebe was taking some medication. After the divorce, Phoebe's health was poor, so Evelyn gave her another medication. Coincidentally, she got pregnant," Grace explained.
Taylor frowned. "Is there really such a good medication?"
"Yes, someone in the neighborhood where Phoebe used to live couldn't get pregnant, and Evelyn gave her the formula for this medication. She ended up getting pregnant. I think if Theodore tries harder, Phoebe might have triplets again."
Taylor snorted, "Don't count on Theodore. He'd be lucky to have one."
Finally, after seeing off Hubert, Theodore returned to the master bedroom and heard the sound of water from the bathroom, along with Phoebe and the triplets chatting.
He didn't go in and instead went to the public bathroom to take a shower.
When he came out, he ran into Ruby, who had returned late. He nodded at her and then pushed open the door to the master bedroom. Hubert, Boris, and Noomi were already lying on the bed drinking milk.
They couldn't even drink their milk properly, with their little feet sticking up in the air.
Theodore sat on the edge of the bed, and Hubert, Boris, and Noomi scooted over to him while drinking milk. They kept moving until they were right next to him. One by one, they rested their heads on Theodore, giggling.
Theodore's aching heart suddenly softened. The past shouldn't be dwelled upon too much; everything should move forward. No matter how unfair things seemed, he would have her by his side in the future.

When Phoebe came out of the shower, she saw Hubert, Boris, and Noomi snuggled up next to Theodore, fast asleep.
The usually stern look on Theodore's face had softened, and he looked completely non-threatening. She walked over and sat on the edge of the bed.
"They really like you," Phoebe said. She had never seen Hubert, Boris, and Noomi so attached to anyone. Even when Edward used to visit them in Caneda, he couldn't get them to sleep.
Theodore seemed to know what she was thinking and said sharply, "They don't cling to Edward?"
Phoebe stared at him as if he were a mind reader. How did he know what she was thinking? She awkwardly said, "Not really."
Theodore stared at her.
Phoebe felt uncomfortable under his gaze and reached out to cover his eyes. "I'm serious. Don't look at me like that. They're not very close to Edward." "Why?" Theodore asked.
From what he had seen in the past few days, Hubert, Boris, and Noomi were very affectionate.
Phoebe shook her head. "I don't know. When they were younger, Edward would visit them, but he never succeeded in getting them to sleep, let alone snuggle up to him like this."
Theodore felt a bit smug. "It seems even the kids know Edward is unreliable. Only you can't see it."
Phoebe ground her teeth and removed her hand from his eyes. She hummed, "Mr. Reynolds, I advise you to think carefully before you speak."
Theodore glanced down and saw that Hubert, Boris, and Noomi had finished their last
sip of milk and were sleeping soundly with their round bellies.
He suddenly reached out, grabbed Phoebe's chin, pulled her close, and kissed her passionately.
What do you think?
