Chapter 860 Communicate More
Theodore wasn't too surprised. Last night, Taylor called him and subtly probed about the triplets, so he had already guessed it.
"Didn't cause any trouble at home, did she?"
Phoebe quickly shook her head, "No, the kids like her. Grace also went over, and when she called me, she was playing hide and seek with them. I didn't expect her to be so childlike."
Theodore glanced at her from the corner of his eye, feeling she was mocking him.
Phoebe's expression was very innocent, not understanding why he was looking at her like that, "Are you unhappy today?"
"No," Theodore said.
Seeing his cold expression, Phoebe didn't say anything more and turned to look out the window.
After a while, she heard Theodore grumble discontentedly, "Liar."
Phoebe thought she had misheard. She perked up her ears and heard him say "liar" again. She turned to look at him, "Who are you calling a liar?"
"You."
"Are you being childish? When did I lie to you?"noveldrama
"You said last night that you would frame those photos and put them by the bed. This morning, I saw you put them in the drawer. Are you planning to hide them?" Theodore glared at her, deeply disappointed by her inaction.
Phoebe rubbed her forehead.
"I put the photos in the drawer because I didn't want the kids to see and ruin them. Besides, I bought frames online today, and they are already on their way."
Theodore's handsome face turned slightly red, but he pretended to be calm and said, "I'm sorry. I wrongly accused you."
"You did," Phoebe said angrily, "I've kept every promise I made to you. How could you do this?"
Theodore glared at her, "You promised not to leave me, but you ended up divorcing me. You promised not to be with anyone else, but you secretly had someone else's children."
Theodore still harbored a lot of resentment!
Phoebe didn't want to rehash old grievances. She turned her head away angrily, not wanting to talk to him.
Theodore also felt he had gone too far. He pursed his lips, restrained his resentment, and reached out to tug at her sleeve.
They had come a long way to get to where they were today, and he didn't want to upset her.
Phoebe ignored him.
Theodore pushed his luck, hooking her little finger with his. Seeing no reaction, he simply held her hand and gently rubbed it on his leg.
"Are you angry?"
Phoebe's heart had softened the moment he tugged at her sleeve. She looked at him and said, "Theodore, it hasn't been easy for us to get to where we are today. If you have any issues with me, you can tell me, but let's not bring up the past, okay?"
Theodore's thin lips tightened, "I'm sorry."
Phoebe smiled, reached out to hug his arm, and pressed her face against it. The suit fabric was soft and cool, feeling very comfortable against her face.
"We shouldn't say sorry to each other. I just want to start over with you. When you got mad at me just now, I was actually quite happy," Phoebe said.
Theodore looked down at her, resting his chin on her head. Even though they used the same shampoo, her hair smelled particularly fragrant.
"Why?"
"We were too proud before, thinking we didn't need to say certain things to each other. But we can't read each other's minds, so we never really knew what the other was thinking. So, let's communicate more in the future to avoid deepening misunderstandings," Phoebe summarized the reason for their previous marriage
failure.
It was only before the divorce that she realized Theodore had liked her all along, but by then, it was too late.

She had been so disappointed in him that she no longer had the strength to love him.
Theodore clearly misunderstood, "Communicate? How exactly do you want to communicate?"
Phoebe's expression froze. Seeing the desire in his eyes, she resisted the urge to rub her forehead and said, "I meant talking, not anything physical."
Theodore looked disappointed, "I was hoping for something more... intimate."
Phoebe glanced at Lawton, who was driving. The next second, her face was forcefully turned back by Theodore.
"Who are you looking at while talking to me?"
Phoebe looked up at the sky. Theodore was still as domineering and possessive as before. He hadn't been like this before, but after they got closer, he no longer pretended in front of her.
"By the way, I need to go to Suncrest City this weekend. If you're free, take the kids out to play and bond with them."
Theodore raised an eyebrow, "You're not afraid I'll mistreat them?"
"You wouldn't say that if you were capable of it. Besides, I trust you. Didn't you want to cultivate their independence? This is a good opportunity for you to implement that," Phoebe said.
She wasn't unconcerned, but she believed Theodore wouldn't do such a thing.
She knew better than anyone how lovable the triplets were. Theodore loved her, so he would be good to them too.
Theodore didn't say anything more.
Back at the Ziegler Villa, Taylor hadn't left yet. She was playing card games with the kids. She had spent the whole afternoon teaching them to recognize playing cards. They were now playing a simple card game where the first to lose all their cards had to stick a note on their face. Taylor, who always cared about her appearance, had the most notes on her face.

But she wasn't annoyed at all, her face glowing with happiness, clearly enjoying herself.
Hubert, Boris, Noomi, and Ethan also had notes on their faces. Their little hands could barely hold the cards, indicating that Taylor had probably lost on purpose.
The fun of playing with kids was not taking it too seriously.
Taylor understood this well, but unfortunately, her own kids didn't give her a chance to play with her grandchildren.
Seeing Phoebe come in from the hallway, Hubert, Boris, and Noomi called out to her in unison. Then they saw Theodore behind her and quickly ran over to hug his legs.
Hubert, Boris, and Noomi's enthusiasm was too much for the usually aloof Theodore.
He bent down to pat their heads, "Did you have fun today? Did you listen to Grandma?"
"Yes, we were very good today," Noomi eagerly claimed the top spot.
"Grandma taught us to recognize cards. I was awesome; I had the fewest notes on my face," Boris proudly puffed out his little chest.
Hubert was not to be outdone, "I was awesome too. I ate a lot tonight."
Theodore couldn't hold back and chuckled, "You were all great. I'll take you out to play this weekend, okay?"
"Okay!" the three of them responded in unison.
Phoebe saw Ethan standing alone in the back, his little face full of neglected loneliness. She walked over, bent down, and picked him up.
"What fun things did you do today, Ethan?"
Ethan shyly lowered his head and whispered, "We played hide and seek and played
cards, but I was too clumsy and had a lot of notes on my face."
Phoebe smiled and said, "Our Ethan is very smart. You don't need to compare yourself
to anyone because you are already excellent, okay?"
Ethan nodded vigorously.
What do you think?
