Unforgettable love

Chapter 121

Chapter 121:.

Matthew was speechless.

Dolores raised her head to look at him as if to ask him what the hell was going on.

Matthew finally understood why Samuel had stopped at that moment.

Samuel was very young, but how could he become so calculating?

“Kid, if you keep acting like this, you won’t grow up much.”

“I’ll grow up to be taller than you.” Samuel seemed emboldened by his mommy’s presence.

Did this child drop his benefactor as soon as his help wasn’t required?

“What the hell is going on?” Dolores suddenly stood up. Judging by their tones when they spoke, it seemed the two knew each other quite well.

Didn’t Samuel really dislike Matthew?

How did they have contact with each other?

Had Matthew secretly made contact with her son without her acknowledging it?

What was his intention?

“Get it straight.” Dolores made a long face and acted as if she wasn’t going to let them off easy if they didn’t give her an explanation.

“You, tell me.” Dolores pointed at Samuel.

Samuel blinked and told her the truth, “Mom, I know Sampson bullied you.”

Dolores’ heart missed a beat. How… How did Samuel know this?

“Samuel.”

“He told me.” Samuel pointed to Matthew and added, “When Sampson came to our house and said he wanted to take us out to eat together, I sensed he had bad intentions. So I called Matthew to help me. He asked me if I wanted to take revenge for you. My answer was YES. He then instructed me to have Sampson take me obediently because then I could find the evidence of the crime Sampson had committed.”

It was clear to Samuel that his mother cared deeply for him. Therefore, even if Sampson had bullied her, she would not seek revenge on him at the expense of her son’s safety.

Originally, he had intended to tell Matthew, but at the thought of Matthew having left his mother earlier, he abandoned the idea. He expected Dolores to be angry when she found out about this.

“Is that so?” asked Dolores as she fixed her eyes on Matthew with a great coldness rising from her heart.

Surely Matthew had the courage to take the blame for what he had done.

“Yes.”

Although Dolores was very angry, she didn’t mount into a rage in front of Samuel, but asked him to get a good night’s rest, “Samuel, sleep a while longer. Mama will be home to bring your clothes.”

Samuel obediently nodded his head and pulled back the comforter. He gave Matthew a look with lips curved in a triumphant smile.

‘Mama’s mad now. Will you be able to kiss her in that case?’ thought Samuel to himself.

‘Come with me.’ Dolores left the room as she finished the words.

Matthew shot Samuel a look and asked, “Boy, did you set me up.”

“I was just telling the truth. How could it be a trap?” Samuel pulled the quilt to cover half of his face and blinked his eyes that were exposed outside the quilt, “It was you who asked to have me kidnapped.”

When he said the last sentence, his voice dropped to a whisper.

It seemed inappropriate for her to say.

Matthew had helped him punish a bad guy.

But Matthew really had done something bad.

With such thoughts, Samuel felt more sorry for Matthew.

“Well.” Matthew curved his lips into a slight smile, “I lost. But…”

His smile grew brighter as he said meaningfully, “You think I can’t calm your mother’s anger?”

“No.” Samuel answered confidently because deep down he knew that Dolores loved him very much.

“My mom gave birth to me and she loves me very much.”noveldrama

Matthew was amused by the logic of her words.

He squatted down and looked Samuel in the eyes, “Boy, you’ll never be able to give your mama the things I can give her.”

“What?” looking into Matthew’s eyes with confidence in him, Samuel became nervous.

Matthew stood up as if they hadn’t had eye contact a moment ago. He slowly stroked his neck that had no creases, “Your mommy is waiting for me.”

“Let’s get this straight!” Samuel sat up hurriedly.

‘Was he angry?” thought Matthew to himself.

But he just walked briskly out of the room and completely ignored Samuel’s shouts.

Dolores was waiting for him outside. Seeing him leave the room, she asked, “What are you doing inside? It’s been a long time.”

“I had a little chat with your son.” Matthew pressed the “unlock” button on the car key and with a “di” sound, the car parked in the driveway unlocked.

“Let’s go.”

Dolores followed him and got into the car.

After driving for a while, Dolores finally broke the silence, “Stop. I have something to take you.”

Matthew pulled the car over to the side of the road.

“You’ve really gone too far this time, you know that?” Dolores turned her head to look out the window because she didn’t have the courage to look him in the eye. She felt disappointed inside. She never dreamed of the possibility that he would love her children or accept them.

But she couldn’t accept that he would take a chance with the children’s safety.

“They are very important to me.” Dolores put a hand to her chest. She felt as if something had burned a hole in her heart and the wind blew through her incomplete heart, making her feel cold all over.

“How could you have used her life as bait? What if there had been an accident? Have you ever thought about that?” she added with her head down, “I’m not you. You have many women infatuated with you to choose from when you get tired of me and you can have many children in the future. But I only have Samuel and Simona.”

Matthew’s expression changed dramatically as he heard the last sentence.

He looked at Dolores sadly: “Dolores Flores, dare to say it again!”. He rarely called her by her full name.

Matthew grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up at him, and said word for word, “Dare to say it again!”.

Sensing the disappointment in his eyes, Dolores gaped slightly. Then he sneered, “You went after me for being a novelty, didn’t you? There are several kinds of women in your world, and most of them are of your own kind, why are you infatuated with me?”

Her looks?

There were numerous women far more beautiful than her.

“There must not be a woman who has given birth to a child by your side, must there?” her words were quite contemptuous.

Matthew was so furious, but instead he smiled, “Was I so good to you before, that you think I’m a nice person? Huh?”

“Are you forgetting what you promised me?” he moved closer to her slowly and Dolores could clearly see his eyes and sharp eyebrows, as well as feel his breathing. She held her breath and answered him, “But you have also promised me that you will not harm my children.”

“Have I harmed them?”

“But you took advantage of them.”

“Then what will you do?”

Dolores looked down. Yes, what could she do with him?

She had no power to fight him.

She would swallow the grievance if she was the one who took advantage because she didn’t care. But since this matter was related to her son, she would never make a concession!

“Dare to take advantage of them again and I will kill you.” He said with a resolute tone.

“Kill me?” Matthew had never seen a person who was confident enough to state that she would kill him in front of him.

And a woman said it.

He didn’t get angry; he laughed.

He praised her tenacity. Apparently she had nothing, but she had the courage.

“It’s okay. If this happens again, you can kill me.” He released his grip on her chin, reached out to grab her waist and then exerted some force on her hand to pull her from the back seat to the driver’s seat.

Dolores exclaimed in shock, “What are you doing?”

“Shh. Keep your voice down.”
