Chapter 606 Wearing the Wedding Dress She Designed Herself
At this moment, Marcus and Natalie were inside a bridal boutique. As they browsed through the gowns, they were also on a call with Sheldon.
"Sheldon, you want Noah to be your successor?"
"Yes, Mr. Marcus." Sheldon's voice came through the line. "I've reached retirement age long ago, but I've stayed on all these years to accompany Mr. Holden Senior.
"Now that you and Mrs. Natalie are about to get married, and with Ms. Laura and Mr. Wesley back, there's not much need for me at Holden Residence anymore. I'd like to take some time off and rest.
"But before I step away, I need to settle on a successor. I believe Noah is the most suitable. He grew up alongside you, Mr. Marcus, and knows Holden Residence inside and out. He's capable, sharp, and resourceful—excellent candidate for a butler."
Sheldon chuckled. "I watched Noah grow up, Mr. Marcus. Just give your approval,
will you?"
"Alright," Marcus agreed without hesitation. "Keep him close by and gradually hand everything over to him."noveldrama
"Yes, Mr. Marcus. Then we'll consider it settled."
"Yes, it's settled.
After wrapping up the call with Sheldon, Marcus put his phone away.
He and Natalie had walked a full round through the largest bridal boutique in Dithoria but hadn't found a gown they truly liked.
He had already handed over his own gown sketches to one of the world's top bridal design teams.
"Nat, see anything you like?" Marcus asked in a lowered voice when he saw Natalie pause.
She shook her head. "I've thought it over. I'll wear something I designed myself. Let's go to Nouvella Zara Bridal Boutique."
"Okay."
The two left the boutique and headed straight to Nouvelle Zara's bridal boutique in Dithoria. The store was located in the city center and had two floors. Every gown inside was a dream come true for any bride.
The gown Natalie had worn at her reunion banquet had captivated everyone at first glance-including Marcus. As soon as they entered the store, the supervisor, Thalia Scarrin, came out to greet them.
"Ms. Walker, you're here."
"Yes." Natalie waved her off. "Go on with your work. Don't mind me."
She tugged Marcus along and headed straight to where a particular gown sat inside.
It was a soft pink piece, made of lightweight, flowing fabric. The structured heart- shaped bodice caused the gauzy material to ripple like water and even appeared to look like petals blooming layer by layer.
The strapless, form-fitting design showcased the bride's elegant and fair shoulders and neckline. Sparkling diamonds were embedded into the fabric like stars scattered across the sky.
The train draped naturally, catching the light with every step. It was as if the bride was wearing an entire pink galaxy, looking graceful and ethereal like the most beautiful of fairies.
"This one," Natalie turned to Marcus. "What do you think?"
"Beautiful," Marcus replied without a second thought. "Absolutely beautiful."
He asked, "Nat, is this one of your own designs?"
"Yes." Natalie nodded. "Then, I'll try this one on." "Okay."
She waved over a shop assistant, had the gown taken down, and headed to the fitting room.
Marcus looked at the gown again and suddenly felt that maybe his own sketches weren't good enough.
Moments later, Natalie emerged in the gown. Her skin was fair, and her figure slim. The dress fit her perfectly. The shop assistant brought over a pair of heels to match, let Natalie's hair down, styled it simply, and even touched up her makeup.
Natalie walked toward Marcus in full attire, and with each step and every smile, he found himself unable to look away. Soon, she stood in front of him. "Do I look good?"
Marcus didn't hide his amazement and admiration. "You look stunning."
Natalie chuckled softly. "There are five dresses in this collection. Want to see them all?"
"Yes." Marcus' Adam's apple bobbed as he stared at her, eyes unblinking.
Veln
Natalie turned and walked away. Not long after, she returned in a different gown. It was still pink, but this skirt wasn't light and rippling like a heart it was instead made of layered, voluminous petals. It was also strapless, showing off her graceful shoulders. As she walked toward Marcus, she looked like the most vibrant and radiant pink rose of summer.
Her skin was like porcelain, her features delicate and flawless. The soft pink shade only made her glow.
"Nat, you're beautiful," Marcus praised generously. "Truly beautiful."
Natalie smiled. "Want to see the rest?"
Marcus nodded without hesitation. "Yes."
Natalie turned again and came back shortly in another gown. Unsurprisingly,
Marcus' amazement showed no signs of fading.
After she had finished trying on the full Pink Fairy series, Marcus no longer had eyes for any other dresses.
"Let's use this set for the wedding shoot."
"Okay."
With Natalie's dresses chosen, it
was Marcus' turn to pick his outfit. He was tall and had striking features. Even in his usual black suit, he outshone most male celebrities.
Marcus' face alone was a masterpiece.
He quickly picked a tuxedo that matched Natalie's gown. Once the photography
team was in place, they began the wedding shoot.
There were indoor and outdoor scenes. The photographer started with indoor shots.
Natalie and Marcus were equally stunning. With Natalie in makeup and Marcus without, every casual snap looked like a magazine spread.
Time passed as they followed the photographer's directions, taking photo after photo.
Once the indoor shoot was done, it
was time to choose outdoor
locations. The photographer provided several options, and Natalie carefully selected her favorites. Marcus naturally had no
objections.
But they had run out of time and would have to continue tomorrow.
"That's it for today. Tomorrow morning, we'll head to Sacred Peak for the shoot,"
the photographer said respectfully to Natalie and Marcus after wrapping up.
"Alright," Natalie agreed easily, and Marcus had no objections either.
"Then, we'll gather tomorrow morning."
"Thank you for your hard work." Celeste checked the time on her phone. "I'll treat everyone to dinner. Let's go to the restaurant across the street."
"Thank you, Ms. Walker!"
Everyone cheered, clearly thrilled.
Natalie smiled. "After the meal, just send me the bill. Order whatever you want."
"Thank you, boss! Congratulations on you and the sir's happy marriage. We wish
you a lifetime of happiness and an early bundle of joy!"
Hearing everyone's cheerful congratulations, Marcus couldn't help but smile. "Drinks are on me tomorrow," he said with a grin.
"Eat and drink well tonight. Natalie and I will head out first."
"Alright! Take care, boss and sir!"
Marcus and Natalie left Nouvella Zara Bridal Boutique soon after. Once they were
in the car, Marcus couldn't hold back a laugh. "Boss and sir? It's actually kind of clever."
Natalie laughed too, clearly in a good mood. "I'm the boss, so you're a sir. Makes perfect sense."
What do you think?
