The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 369

A car stopped at Lambda City Hall. The chauffeur hurried out of the car and opened the car door. Levi stepped out and glanced at the chauffeur. "Be faster next time. You're too slow." The chauffeur lowered his head and apologized in fear, "I'm sorry. I'll be faster next time."

Levi straightened out his clothes and walked toward the office building.

The chauffeur hurried over to the elevator before pushing the elevator button. When the elevator arrived, he entered the elevator and repeatedly pressed the open button. Only when Levi entered the elevator did the chauffeur finally press the close button.

As the door closed, the air in the elevator became suffocating. It was as if a ticking bomb was about to go off at any moment.

The chauffeur was eager for the elevator to arrive at their destination.

Levi's expression was sullen. He was thinking about how useless Tobias was. He couldn't handle Matthew and even led Matthew to Levi. If Tobias were here, Levi might kill him. With a chime, the elevator door opened.

The gloom on Levi's face vanished. He had regained his indifference and composure, yet anger stirred within him.

When the employees greeted him, he greeted them with a smile in turn.

When he neared his office, his secretary approached him. "Mr. Lancaster, before you arrived, a man named Matthew Grant came to see you. I—"

Levi cut him off before he could finish. "You let him into my office?"

The secretary looked terrified. "I didn't want to, but..."

With fury in his eyes, Levi spat out through gritted teeth, "But what, you good-for-nothing?"

As the secretary opened his mouth to explain, Levi snarled, "Shut it!" Then, he walked toward his office.

The secretary looked aggrieved. He truly was not at fault, yet Levi didn't even give him a chance to explain.

As soon as Levi entered the office, he noticed a young man sitting on the couch. It was Matthew. Someone beside him was pouring him a drink.

That person had his back to Levi. Nonetheless, he was dressed in a white shirt and black pants. Levi could tell at a glance that he was an employee.

Levi's face instantly darkened. He wanted to kick the person pouring a drink for Matthew out of the room.noveldrama

Before he could speak, Matthew asked, "You're Levi Lancaster?"

Levi's anger flared. At City Hall, everyone addressed him as "Mr. Lancaster".

Moreover, they did so with great deference. No one dared to call him by his name, yet Matthew had done exactly that.

"Matthew Grant, have you any

Matthew's face was cold. "Are you threatening me? Do you know why I've come to you?

"Tobias Munz. That's right, that mobster, Tobias Munz. He came at me. He said you're his boss, and he was working for you. You..."

Levi's expression turned grim at his words. Though Matthew's words were true, they were unspeakable.

The fact that Matthew was actually voicing them right there made Levi want to kill him.

Seeing that the tactless employee was still pouring the drink, Levi gave his butt a kick. "Why are you so fucking tactless? Who told you to serve him a drink in my office? Get out!"

His kick sent the man sprawling onto a couch nearby. The hot drink in his hand spilled out of the cup, burning his hand. He yelped from the pain.

Levi snarled, "What are you yelling for? Get lost!"

Cradling his hand, the man slowly turned around and glared at Levi. "Levi, you... you dared to kick me? This is outrageous!"

"Mr. Moore?" Levi thought, horrified.

The man was Cedric Moore, the top brass of Lambda City.

Levi had always reported to Cedric at the latter's office. Cedric had never come to Levi's office, not even once.

Yet he was here that day, and Levi had kicked him in the butt.
