The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2500

Chale laughed coldly at Frank's words. "Watch it, brat! Hal Prana isn't a name to brag about, and killing him means nothing."

"Sure he isn't." Frank smiled and nodded. "But I guess that's not the same for you, is it?"

"Insolence!"

A youth suddenly leapt out from behind Chale toward Frank, saber in hand!

Pow!

In the very next instant, the saber was reduced to dust, while the youth was sent flying backward, crashing into the ground and unconscious!

Chale and his entourage were left stunned-the youth was actually one of their best despite his age.

But even if he could not win against Frank, how could he be beaten in an instant?!

This was getting interesting!

Chale chuckled just then. "It's just a practical joke, young man. Don't get too uppity!"

No matter how he argued, Frank would still have the moral high ground.noveldrama

Moreover, Chale had come primarily to negotiate with Hana and really had no reason to fight.

Still, that was when Hana snapped, "A practical joke? I don't think so!"

While Frank seemed not to care, that was not the case for Hana.

Sure, she had not spent that much time with Frank, but Frank had helped her considerably, even saving her life, so she was not about to tolerate Chale's disrespect!

Chale simply kept smiling, "Please, Ms. Pearce. Let's not get distracted-we're here to sue for peace, and that takes priority, don't you agree?"

Hana snorted but finally calmed down.

Chale then continued, "I'll be frank-aside from Hal Prana, we've been suffering other losses. That's why we'd like to ask what your intention is in moving against your own comrades.

"I won't lie—we've been guilty of insubordination, refusing to take orders from you. But killing your own? Really?"

Hana smiled in wry amusement-what the heck? Chale was putting it as if she was responsible!

"Don't try to pin the blame on me, geezer! I can tell you in no uncertain terms that it wasn't me! I've also had my helicopter sabotaged, or can I just blame it on you too?"

"What?" Chale exclaimed.

Despite his devious nature, he had the integrity to admit anything he did.

Still, he asked, "Are you actually joking?"

Hana rolled her eyes. "Joking? Who are you talking about? I'd already be dead if not for the gentleman here."

"A-Are you suggesting someone else is trying to drive a wedge between us?" The idea alone terrified Chale.

Hana smiled in wry amusement. "You finally get it, geezer! Please, I'm not that stupid-if I wanted to make a hit, I'd just make sure to hit you and you only. Why go for collateral? I only agreed to meet you because I'd like to clear the air too!"

Chale smiled and nodded-thank goodness he was sharp enough to discern that there was more to this dispute than he presumed. That was why he did not attack Hana right away in retaliation, instead shouting her out to talk things out.

Otherwise, chaos would descend upon Zephyr Hall!

Still, while Chale believed Hana's claims, he soon found a contradiction and asked, "There's still something I must know-how did you survive if your helicopter broke down? No one could've done anything once you were airborne!"
