The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance

Chapter 1032

"As for Leonard hurting Star..."

Skyler paused, his voice turning steely. "There's absolutely no way this can be overlooked. I'll have the butler call the police and hand over all the evidence. Let them deal with this by the book."

His words sounded proper enough, but everyone present knew the truth.

Solmaris' police were never going to punish Leonard.

Chances were, the moment he was taken in, someone would pull a few strings and he'd walk right back out.

Still, Stella had gotten what she wanted.

A live broadcast could only achieve so much, after all.

Neither the Williams family nor Stella herself could risk taking matters into their own hands in front of a worldwide audience—it would be far too easy to give their enemies ammunition.

Afterward, just as Skyler promised, the butler did call the police.

Skyler didn't mention ending the live stream again. Instead, he made the most of the remaining time on air, doing everything he could to salvage his reputation.

Skyler was willing to swallow his pride; Jonathan, though clearly uncomfortable, knew this was not the time to care about appearances.

If they mishandled this, it wouldn't just tarnish the Williams family name-stock prices could plummet too.

"Private family matters" could easily snowball into a business crisis.

Only Israel and Coleman kept their faces cold and stony, saying nothing. Aurora looked as if she wanted to speak, but in the end, she stayed silent.

The police took Leonard away.

He didn't resist or say a word.

Just before leaving, Simone cast Joshua a long, searching look, then followed Leonard out the door.noveldrama

Once the police arrived, Stella finally ended the live stream.

But even seeing her end it, the Williams family didn't let down their guard.

Who knew if Stella was secretly recording or about to go live again?

With Leonard's incident behind them, for once, the Williams family left Stella alone.

Skyler turned to her. "Star, it's getting late. You should go get some rest."

Stella didn't argue. "Alright, I'll head back now."

After she left, Skyler returned to his office to deal with the fallout.

Jonathan and his two brothers, along with Aurora, gathered in Jonathan's study for a family meeting.

Once the door was shut, Israel couldn't hold back anymore.

"We brought Stella home, treated her as a daughter of the family, Ms. Cameron... Who would've thought she'd stab us in the back like this?"

Hatred twisted his features, his jaw clenched so hard his teeth ground together.

Aurora was quiet for a moment before speaking. "Whatever happens, we need to be careful with Stella from now on. No moredetting her record us or catch us off guard."

Coleman scoffed. "She goes live, drags our name through the mud-what does she want? To get into the company, right? Fine. Let her in Once she's inside Williams Group and screws up, she'll realize it's not as easy as running her mouth on camera."

He let out a cold laugh.

"Working at Williams Group isn't something you can manage with a livestream or a few sneaky tricks. With us watching her every move, let's see what kind of trouble she can stir up."

Israel instantly caught Coleman's drift.

With the three brothers already established in the company, making Stella's work

life difficult would be child's play.

Jonathan thought for a moment, then nodded slightly.

He looked at Aurora, his expression apologetic.

"Aurora, I'm sorry you got caught up in all this. Don't worry-Father and I will

make sure you get a position at Williams Group too."
