Chapter 350
Chapter 350:
I gave Anna a second chance.
I shouldn’t have.
I sent her back into the fray, gave her the resources, the power, the means to finish what she started. But she couldn’t even do that right. Every scheme, every plot, every desperate attempt to destroy Jasmine failed spectacularly. Luna Anna’s failure wasn’t just hers—it was fucking mine too. I had trusted her, relied on her to do what needed to be done, and she crumbled under the weight of her own emotions.
And now she’s dead.
Good riddance. She deserved it.
But her failure leaves me in an even worse position. Jasmine has Ryder by her side now.
The Alpha. The Lycan.
The man who commands armies with a single word and strikes fear into the hearts of anyone foolish enough to oppose him.
Waging war against her now means waging war against him.
And that’s not a fight I can win. Not yet.
I let out a low, bitter laugh, the sound echoing through the empty room. This wasn’t supposed to happen. None of this was supposed to happen.
I had the plan. I had the power.
But now? Now it feels like I’m grasping at straws, trying to hold onto a kingdom that’s crumbling beneath my feet.
The very idea made my blood boil. This child would be even stronger, even more dangerous than its mother. The prophecy spoke of the serpent’s blood rising, of kingdoms falling—and now that Jasmine was carrying this child, the prophecy was all but guaranteed to come true.
I couldn’t let that happen.
I wouldn’t let that happen.
But how could I stop it?
I stop pacing, my hands braced against the edge of the table. My mind races, trying to find the solution, the way out, the next move. There has to be a way.
And then it hits me.
The source.
The prophecy didn’t come from nowhere. It wasn’t just some random vision or omen. Someone—or something—set this in motion. And if I can find the source, if I can trace it back to its origin, maybe… maybe I can still stop this.
The daughter of the Viper, the prophecy child, the looming threat of my own downfall—it all started with that damn prophecy.
If I can destroy its foundation, I can destroy everything it stands for.
My lips curl into a slow, dangerous smile.
Jasmine thinks she’s won. She thinks she’s safe, protected, untouchable with Ryder by her side and a child growing in her womb.
But she’s wrong.
This isn’t over.
Not by a long shot.
Let her think she’s won. Let her bask in her little moment of triumph. Because when I’m done, there will be nothing left for her to hold onto.
No prophecy. No power. No future.
The game isn’t over yet. And I always play to win.
