Chapter 1071
Chapter 1071:
“Given what you’ve done to my father, don’t you think it’s justified for me to kidnap you in return?” Christos shot back.
He rose to his feet, dusting off his clothes, and prepared to sheathe the knife.
With her body angled sideways, Eileen held up her hands and said, “Untie me.”
Christos complied, walking over to Eileen and untying the rope that bound her.
Having been restrained for so long, her wrists were left feeling sore. Even after she was freed, the discomfort lingered.
As she gently rubbed her wrists, Eileen looked around. She was in a clean and neat camper van, and there was an incense stick on a small table, its thin tendril of smoke wafting gently upward.
However, since she had been brought to this camper van, it had remained stationary.
Eileen approached the window and gazed out, taking in the sight of a small forest, with the camper van nestled among dense, moderately sized trees and a vast expanse of prairie visible in the distance.
“Where’s my phone?” Eileen asked.
Christos chuckled and said, “You really think I’d let you have your phone? The one holding you, remember?”
Eileen felt resigned. “Then what do you want? If you’re going to kill me, just get it over with! I’ve been held captive for days already!”noveldrama
Her family must be out of their minds with worry by now. Bryan must have turned the whole of Alverton upside down.

“Could I kill you?” Christos said, a disgruntled expression on his face. “My mother pushed me to seek revenge for my father’s sake, and now, she’s on the run from the police, unable to leave the house. If I don’t do this, I’ll be cut off from home. I’ve been living in this camper van for over six months.”
“Lydia? How could a woman who married another man for twenty years for her son’s sake decide to seek revenge for her husband?” Eileen asked.
“She believes I’ve ruined your future, rendering twenty years of sacrifices worthless. Seeking revenge for your father’s sake must be an excuse,” Eileen settled into the sofa.
“So, you followed us all the way from Onaland?” Eileen asked.
Christos nodded. “I kept my whereabouts secret, fearing an investigation. It took me over two weeks to drive here from Onaland. At night, I would sleep on the outskirts. I’ve had my gas stolen so many times…” He continued, nagging as if he expected Eileen to reimburse him for it.
With a low, annoyed huff, Eileen interjected, “So, what’s your plan? Take me back to your mother?”
“I can’t go back. Bryan has barricaded all the roads leading out of Alverton. I’m completely trapped,” Christos replied.
“How do you want to die?” Eileen asked with a serious expression.
Christos stared at her, unable to utter a word.
