Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1062

Chapter 1062:noveldrama

“He will speak to her about how she used Dottie to brainwash you!” Kamila almost blurted out the true relationship between Eileen and Keith, but she managed to stop herself in time. “Dottie has been gone for so many years. Why do you value the child she had over your own family? Don’t you think that’s unfair?”

“I am perfectly capable of recognizing what is fair and what isn’t!” Keith roared. “If you don’t apologize to Eileen, I will divorce you!”

Silence fell over the dining room, and the air crackled with tension.

Kamila stared at Keith, her eyes wide with disbelief. Dottie had failed to separate them while she was still alive, so Kamila had hoped there might be something that would make Keith divorce her.

“Keith, are you out of your mind?” Jaliyah stood up. “What did Eileen do to you for you to act like this? Don’t you even care about your family anymore? I’m married to Harrell, and you already have a granddaughter. You can’t do this. Our family will become the laughingstock if you divorce! So an old bitch died and left behind her bitch daughter, and they both have you so wrapped around their fingers that you don’t even think about your own flesh and blood anymore—”

Keith was so enraged that he swept his arm over the table, sending dishes falling to the floor and smashing into pieces. “Say something like that again, and I’ll kick you out of the Aston family!”

With that, he strode into his study. He slammed the door with so much force that it felt as if the walls of the villa shook upon impact.

Kamila shuddered as the color drained from her face. She wasn’t sure what she was feeling now—anger, sorrow, shame…

“Do you think I want to stay in your family?” Jaliyah snorted and headed out the door.

At the end of the day, it was the Aston family that had offended Eileen. Jaliyah believed she could just run back to her parents’ house to escape any looming retribution. She didn’t care if Kamila would be able to persuade Keith.

There was no way she would apologize to Eileen.

“Jaliyah!” Harrell called out as he rushed after her.

Kamila was left standing in the empty dining hall. She pushed her chair away and stomped up the stairs to the bedroom.

She had lived there for more than two decades. Looking around the room now, she could only find traces of her own presence there. Even the bed only had one pillow. Kamila grabbed the phone on the nightstand and saw that she had several missed calls, all from the same number. She immediately called the person back.

“You really disappointed me, Mrs. Aston,” a male voice echoed on the other end of the line.

Kamila rolled her eyes in irritation. “Don’t you have any other qualities aside from having a barbed tongue? You’ve been calling me all day long just to make me confront Eileen. If you really want to cause trouble for Eileen, you should actually try and help me! Don’t just stand idly by and come complaining to me afterward!”

“And how am I supposed to help?” the man countered lightly. “You are clearly imbeciles, and I won’t risk exposing my identity just to give you a little push. I’m not as foolish as you.”

Kamila gnashed her teeth together, the man’s words hitting her like a heavy blow. “Then why did you even call me?”
