"Don't worry. We'll take our time," Kendall said nonchalantly.

As he glanced around idly, he caught a familiar face in the rearview mirror.

"Haha..." He chuckled coldly. He pushed open the car door and stepped out. He headed toward a cheap-looking car behind him.

"Patricia, it's been a while." Kendall approached Dustin and Patricia's car and greeted Patricia with a big smile.

Patricia forced a polite smile in return.

"I heard you left the Yeager family. Are they going to let you in today?" Kendall asked.

"It doesn't matter. That's still my great-grandfather. I have to go," Patricia said, though worry flickered in her eyes.

"How about you come in with me? They won't dare say anything too harsh if you're with me. At least they'll show me some respect."

Patricia glanced at Dustin.

"No, thank you. We'll manage on our own." She rejected the offer.

Kendall's disdainful gaze flitted toward Dustin.

"Why are you still with him? What's he good for, other than dragging you down?

"Honestly, I don't understand why you'd leave the family for a loser like him. What could he possibly offer you?

"You used to hate him too. Why throw away a cushy life with the Yeager family to struggle alongside this penniless loser?"

Kendall's voice grew more agitated the more he spoke.

He could not understand why such a worthless man made Patricia so devoted that she even broke ties with her own family. Why did Patricia not fall for him instead?

The frustration and jealousy boiled within him.

Where was the justice in that? He was the heir to the Dhillon family. He could outclass this guy in every way.

Patricia's face turned cold.

"If you're just here to mock us, Mr. Kendall, please leave."

"I'm just worried about you, Patricia! I'm trying to stand up for you..." Kendall said earnestly.

"Don't bother," Patricia said coldly.

She was no longer part of the Yeager family, and she did not have to play along with Kendall's pretenses.

"How can you not see what's good for you?" He was furious but could not yell at her.

He turned his gaze toward Dustin, who had been calm since the beginning. His silence only further infuriated Kendall.

"Loser, why won't you say anything? Patricia's in this mess because of you!

"What have you ever done for her? She is now living in the suburbs, driving a junk car, and working just to support you! You're nothing but a deadbeat! How do you even have the galls to come out here?" Kendall hated Dustin so much he was

burning in fury.

Normally, he carried himself with politeness and dignity, but he could not hold back anymore.

"Patricia must've been cursed

somehow. That's why she's with you! How could you be so shameless? First, you leeched off the Yeager family, and now, you're leeching off her. How can you live with yourself?"

Kendall continued the tirade with his finger pointed at Dustin, but the latter merely observed him with a cold detachment as if watching a clown.noveldrama

"Please leave, Mr. Kendall!" said Patricia in a raised tone of voice. She was livid.

She was never good at insults.

Just then, the traffic eased. Patricia wasted no time steering the car around Kendall and driving off.

He was left standing and fuming in the middle of the road.

Impatient honks came from behind.

"Shut the f*ck up!" Kendall cursed, and the driver behind him went silent.

He glared after their departing car with hatred burning in his eyes.

"Dustin, you worthless fool! What do you have to compete with me? Is Patricia blind?" His voice was filled with malice.

“Patricia, just wait! Sooner or later, I'll make you crawl back to me, and I'll destroy him."

A murderous intent flashed across his face.

Dustin was just a useless waste who lost the Yeager family's protection, had no skills, and had to rely on. Patricia to support him. Crushing someone like that would be child's play for Kendall.

Kendall got back into his car and slammed the door shut.

"Drive!"

The driver nervously started the car while the cars behind them kept a respectable distance. They did not dare to provoke him further.

After driving slowly for ten minutes or so, Dustin and Patricia finally got near the Yeager family villa.

The villa entrance was bustling with guests today.
