Chapter 481 Don't Lie to Me, Do I Still Have a Way Out?
The night wind over the sea, accompanied by the sound of the helicopter's rotors, was particularly deafening.
Looking up, a dozen helicopters were circling above the island. The one in the center had already begun to descend, and the others were slowly following suit.
"Galatea!"
As the helicopter landed, Stellan could see that the pilot of the first helicopter was Alaric, and she heard his voice.
"Alaric, I'm here..." Seeing that it was Alaric, Stellan calmed down instantly, but before she could finish shouting in excitement, her mouth was covered by Ambrose, then her body was tightly controlled in his arms.
Ambrose swiftly wrapped one arm around her neck while drawing a dagger with the other, pressing it against her throat.
"Impossible, this is absolutely impossible!"
Seeing so many helicopters landing, Ambrose was stunned. He had already taken Stellan and fled so far from Arizona.
To be safe, Tommy and Denny were only responsible for stalling the police to buy him time; they didn't know the escape route he had planned. Even if Denny was caught, he wouldn't know where to confess. Besides, this was an isolated island. How could Alaric have found this place so quickly?
"Where is the boat?" Seeing that not only Alaric had arrived, but Neil had also brought a group of police officers, Ambrose was genuinely panicked. The boat that had been slowly approaching earlier quickly turned back upon seeing the situation.
Seeing the boat drift further from the shore, Ambrose grew anxious and shouted loudly, "Come back! Why are you leaving? Get back here immediately!"
"What good will it do if you get on the boat?" Alaric questioned. Because Stellan was still in Ambrose's hands, he didn't dare to approach recklessly, so he persuaded, "It's already come to this. It is impossible for you to escape. Let Galatea go. Surrendering is your only way out."
Looking at Alaric again, he still couldn't believe it. Ambrose asked, "How could you find this place? How could you find me? Impossible! This should be a foolproof plan. How could there be a mistake?"
"There is no escape from the long arm of the law." At this moment, Neil spoke up. "No matter how meticulous your plan is, you couldn't have anticipated that the person you thought was your accomplice wasn't actually your accomplice."
Ambrose's mind was completely in chaos until he saw Tommy among the group of police officers.
"Tommy? It was you?" Hearing Neil's words and seeing Tommy, Ambrose understood. "But how is this possible? How did you know I was here?"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Vale," Tommy explained to him, "I placed an ultra-miniature tracker in the wig I prepared for your disguise. The police located you based on the signal. "Ambrose was dumbfounded.
At this moment, Ambrose's reaction was the same as Alaric's when he heard this not long ago.
When they caught Denny and confirmed that Ambrose was disguised as Tommy, Alaric was frantic when he couldn't reach Stellan by phone.
Alaric stormed into the police station, grabbed Denny by the collar, and demanded, "Where is Ambrose? Where did he go?"
Neil couldn't hold him back, and it looked like Alaric was ready to beat Denny to death if he didn't confess.
But Denny insisted, 'I didn't know.'noveldrama
At first, they thought he was lying, but after using various lie detectors, they finally determined he wasn't lying. Denny genuinely didn't know Ambrose's escape route.

Realizing that Denny didn't know either, Alaric was almost in despair. He thought Ambrose had already taken Stellan out of the country, and he feared he would never find her again.
Then, Tommy said he could find Ambrose.
Regarding Tommy's intentions for helping him find Ambrose, Alaric had no time to ponder them now. His mind was fully occupied with the urgent need to rescue Stellan.
"A tracker..." Ambrose kept muttering that. He never dreamed that he would be betrayed by Tommy.
He had been careless; he had entrusted the entire disguise plan to Tommy, never expecting the problem to arise from there.
Seeing Ambrose momentarily stunned, Alaric tried to seize the opportunity to rescue Stellan from his grasp. But as soon as he approached, Ambrose snapped back to reality, forcefully pulling Stellan's body back, pressing the dagger closer to her neck. "Alaric, don't come any closer!" Ambrose warned Alaric. "Or I'll take her down with me!"
"Okay, Ambrose, I won't come closer. Don't get agitated..." Alaric immediately stopped in his tracks, standing still without daring to move. "Please, stay calm. Let's talk this out."
Ambrose kept pulling Stellan's body back. Behind them was the sea, and the rising waves were already lapping at their ankles.
"Don't back up any further; it's dangerous!"Alaric shouted.
If they retreated any further, the water would reach their calves. If a wave came, it would be very dangerous.

Alaric's tone softened, "Ambrose, you can make demands. Please don't hurt her."
"Yes, we can talk, we can discuss everything." Neil quickly added.
Because this was an isolated island, and behind Ambrose was the vast sea, with nothing on the island except a dilapidated house.
Moreover, it was already dark; there was no suitable place for snipers to hide, nor were there favorable weather condition as the sea wind was strong. With Stellan still in Ambrose's hands, they were at a significant disadvantage.
"Ambrose, we already have evidence of your crimes. You can't escape. Don't make things worse. Let her go and cooperate with us. You still have a chance to live," Neil advised.
"I still have a chance to live?" Hearing this, Ambrose said with a wry smile, "I am fully aware that if you catch me, I have no way out. I just want to take Stellan with me."
"Ambrose, don't you love her? Can you really bear to hurt her?" Hearing that Ambrose wanted to die with Stellan, Alaric was extremely nervous.
"Don't talk to me about love!" Ambrose became even more agitated upon hearing Alaric's words. "You took her away from me. You took my Stellan away!"
When Alaric saw Ambrose continue to pull Stellan's body back into the sea, he was too scared to move or speak. In desperation, Neil raised his gun, ready to shoot Ambrose. Seeing this, Alaric hurriedly stopped him, "No, no! Galatea is still in his hands. Don't shoot!"
The wind was strong, and if the bullet deviated even slightly, it would be Stellan who would die as Stellan was blocking Ambros.
Even if Neil was a sharpshooter, Alaric didn't dare to take the risk. If he lost the bet, Stellan's life would be over!
