Silas’s POV

"Look at you, talking like... it’s up to you how to get pregnant. Listen, Silas, it’s up to your mate. If they want you to be pregnant, then they will make you. If they don’t, they won’t make you."

I couldn’t believe my ears! Like, what is he saying now? Is he the same brother with whom I have grown up and he has changed after I got married? Or is he someone else? Because how can he say something like this? Of course it’s totally up to me if I want to get pregnant or not. It’s not on my mate.

"Hey, idiot. It’s not up to them. It’s up to me, and I have decided that we are not having a second child. Simple. One is enough for us."

Orian was looking at me with side eyes like he was judging me, but I don’t care even if he judges me. Because he doesn’t know how that pain really is, which I have gone through. So I don’t care what he thinks about me.

"I was searching for you and I didn’t find you anywhere. After lunch, why did you come here and not even tell me?" Meyer said.

In a second, Orian stood up and hugged Meyer in front of me. I covered Velric’s eyes, even though he was sleeping, because he can’t see a scene like this.

"Both of you, go get a room. Don’t be so lovey-dovey in front of me."

"Silas, you have four mates. Still, you are getting jealous of us! Shame on you, shame!"

After that, Meyer also sat down beside us and we talked till the evening. And just then, I heard... four of their voices from behind us. I realized it was already evening, and they had finished their work. That’s why they were coming to me now.

And Velric had also woken up hearing their voices. He was looking at me, not even crying after waking up from sleep. His little hands were reaching toward me, so I bent down and he touched my cheek. He looked happy from his face. And the four of them had reached us by then.

"Silas, your mates are here. So, we will be leaving now. Meet you tomorrow."

"Silas! Since when have you been sitting out here? You know it’s so cold! You’ll catch a cold — and the little one too!" Lysander took Velric from me.

And Damon picked me up in his arms, bridal style. I also wrapped my hands around his neck, leaning closer to him.

"Is your work done now, Damon? Or is there still some left?"

"Sorry, Silas. There’s still a lot of work left. Even if the four of us are working, the work doesn’t seem to lessen. It’s increasing by the hour. There are so many things we have to pay attention to. But don’t worry. We will still take out some time for you and our little one."

Damon’s words were enough for me. And when he picked me up, I realized that I was tired too. I closed my eyes, resting my head on his chest. They had put Velric down on a soft blanket, and the three of them were sitting around him, touching his finger and petting his head. I just stood there at the door without going in because that scene was so nice. I didn’t want to disturb them. But just then, Damon noticed me.

"Oh, Silas, you’re here? What are you doing at the door? Come inside!"

I went inside and also sat at the feet of Velric, and he started to cry when he saw me. I think he was hungry.

"Silas, why is he crying all of a sudden? Did he wet his napkin?" Theron asked.

"I think he is hungry."

I took Velric in my lap and opened the zipper near my chest and started to breastfeed him. As I was doing it while petting him, I noticed those three were looking at him with strange eyes, like they were hungry too.

"What happened? Why are you three looking at me like this?"

"Silas, won’t you spoil us too?" Lysander said, and his voice was so soft and he made a cute face.

"What do you mean by spoil you?"

They all went silent after hearing me, and while Velric fell asleep, I put him down on that thick blanket and covered him so he wouldn’t catch a cold.

"You all must be tired, right? Did you eat anything? And Kael had already fallen asleep. I think he is really tired," I said.

"Silas, I also want to drink," Damon said.

"Huh? What do you want to drink?"

His eyes fell on my chest, and I noticed that since I started feeding Velric, they were also looking at my chest. So now I understood what they wanted.

"Are you out of your mind? You know it hurts so much, even when I feed Velric — and you want it too? I feel so angry now! What did you take me for? Do you think I’m a cow?"

Even though Velric doesn’t have teeth, it still hurts — and these guys have teeth. Just thinking about it made me shiver in fear.

"What are you all doing here without me? It’s already night, so why aren’t you sleeping?"

"Yes, you are right! Kael, it’s time to sleep." I quickly stood up and left from there with Kael, leaving the three of them and Velric alone in that room.

After coming back, a servant brought dinner for us because they hadn’t eaten anything, and I was hungry too. So we ate our dinner in the bedroom. It felt so nice. Eating while sitting on the bed is the best feeling in the world.

After our dinner was done, we fell asleep. And my eyes didn’t open until the next afternoon. I didn’t even wake up in the morning. I woke up directly in the afternoon when Orian was waking me up. And as I sat up, suddenly Meyer rushed in with a letter in his hand.

Meyer’s face was serious, like something big had happened. And I was like, what had happened?

"What happened, Meyer?" Orian asked.

"His Majesty died yesterday," he said with a serious face.
