Love at the Wrong Table
Chapter 2247 Aora Crushed in Moments.
“Emmanuel! Come meet your end!” Aora challenged.
Finished
He had been waiting for this. As soon as Emmanuel touched down, still clutching Aurora, Aora launched an immediate attack.
“Commander Lowe, watch out!” Aurora gasped.
She had witnessed Aora’s power firsthand in West End. The man had grown even stronger–even Quintus hadn’t been able to handle him.
A knot of worry tightened in her chest. Would Emmanuel underestimate him and fall into the trap?
Her warning came too late, and it did not matter.
Emmanuel had already anticipated Aora’s move.
Even while chasing Teddy, he had never let his guard down.
Feeling a rush of cold internal strength, he immediately countered Aora’s strike with his own.
Aora had underestimated him.
He had expected Emmanuel to crumble under the force–just like in Yeringham.
Yet the moment their palms connected, Aora felt it.
A surge of power crashed into him like a tidal wave. His confidence shattered.
Before he could even process it, his feet slid backward. His body lurched from the sheer force.
Emmanuel had also taken a step back–but only to shield Aurora.

Technically, it was a draw.
However, their expressions told another story.
Aora looked shaken. He had pushed himself to new heights, yet here he was, forced back in a single clash.
In contrast, Emmanuel barely looked affected.
Sure, Aora had gotten stronger, but his path was reckless.
Even if Emmanuel didn’t end him today, he wouldn’t last another six months.
“Emmanuel! Fight me!” Aora roared and lunged again.
This time, he went all in. He had thought he alone had grown stronger, but now he saw–Emmanuel had,
too.
“Aurora, step aside.” Emmanuel gently pushed her away.
Then, he turned his full focus to Aora.

Aora took the bait, attacking relentlessly.

“What’s wrong, Wolf Warrior? Where’s the legendary commander?” Aora taunted, his strikes coming faster.
He thought he was overpowering Emmanuel.
Suddenly, Emmanuel moved.
In a single shift, he dodged and drove his shoulder into Aora’s chest.
Aora gasped; his breath was knocked clean out of him. His face turned red.
Before he could recover, Emmanuel grabbed him, spun him twice, and hurled him across the battlefield.
Aora soared through the air, slamming into a tree trunk before crashing into a rocky hillside. He didn’t get
- up.
“Nice work, Commander Lowe!” Aurora beamed. She bounced with excitement, radiating the energy of a cheerleader in full swing.
Relief flooded through her. She had worried–what if Emmanuel couldn’t handle Aora?
She mused, Luckily, I was wrong! Commander Lowe isn’t just stronger than Quintus and Rhett–he’s on another level. With just a few moves, he sent Aora flying hundreds of meters, slamming into a tree before crashing into the rocky hillside.
“Let’s get moving!” Emmanuel wasted no time. To him, Aora wasn’t worth the trouble–his reckless path would catch up with him soon enough.
Right now, only Teddy mattered.
He grabbed Aurora and continued forward, relying on her keen senses to track Teddy’s scent.
Moments later, another vehicle arrived.
Gautier spotted Teddy’s abandoned car and scanned the area.
His eyes narrowed.
From the other side of the road, a weak voice called out, “Mr. Verkade… help me!”
Gautier turned–and paused.
Aora was a wreck.
“Aora, what happened to you?” Gautier asked, keeping his tone neutral.
Despite his battered state, Aora refused to admit defeat.
“I was careless,” he muttered, struggling to sit up. Blood dripped from his back, and his leg refused to move properly.
“Where’s my Master?” Gautier asked, stepping forward to assist Aora with getting up.
“He’s retreating through the mountain pass. We need to stop Emmanuel before he gets to him!” Aora gritted
his teeth. his frustration evident.

Gautier frowned. “You’re in no shape for that. I have bandages and painkillers in the back. Let’s clean your wounds first. If you charge in like this, you’ll only slow us down.”
Aora clenched his jaw. He hated that Gautier was right. “Fine. Just make it quick.”
Gautier nodded and went to retrieve the medical supplies.
Meanwhile, Teddy had circled around the mountain pass, carefully covering his tracks.
Yet, no matter how careful he was, there was one thing he couldn’t conceal–his scent.
For Aurora, it was as good as a beacon, leading Emmanuel straight to him.
Confident he had finally shaken his pursuer, Teddy stepped out of the forest–then he heard it.
A shift in the air, a blur of movement, and Emmanuel landed right in front of him.
“Emmanuel?!”
For the first time in years, Teddy panicked.
He knew this time, there was no escaping.
Before he could react, Emmanuel moved again, cutting off his path. His cold, unwavering gaze pinned Teddy in place.
Emmanuel’s voice was calm, almost casual. “Stop running. It’s over. Keep this up, and I’ll end you with a single strike.”
With nowhere left to run, Teddy came to a halt. A smirk played on his lips. “You really think you can kill me that easily, Wolf Warrior? Sure of yourself, are you?”
Emmanuel tilted his head slightly. “Let’s find out.”
He wasn’t just here to finish Teddy—he was curious. Just how much power had this snake been hiding all
this time?
“Fight me! Emmanuel!” Teddy launched forward. A rapid series of unpredictable punches–his speed was terrifying,
Emmanuel dodged smoothly, his eyes analyzing every move.
Boom!
A fist cut through the air, grazing Emmanuel’s cheek.
Even though it didn’t land, the force alone left a faint wound.
“Commander Lowe!” Aurora gasped.
Her mind raced. Teddy looks like a frail old man, but his internal strength runs deep–almost on par with Rhett.. hadn’t been such a coward, he could’ve joined forces with Aora earlier. Commander Lowe might not have won so easily.
Emmanuel had anticipated Teddy would be strong, but his technique truly caught him off guard.
Every martial artist had their own unique imprint, even when using the same set of skills.

With his experience, Emmanuel could recognize fighting styles in an instant.
And Teddy’s? It was almost identical to Santiago’s, not just in form but in sheer power.
Teddy caught his hesitation and smirked. “Surprised? Too bad. Die!”

His movements shifted. Fists unraveled into claw–like strikes, slicing through the air with deadly precision.
Emmanuel barely dodged.
A sharp gust followed his movement–his shirt ripped. A stinging sensation spread across his skin.
Aurora’s breath hitched.
For a moment, panic gripped her.
Then, she noticed–it was just a scratch.
“You’ve been training under Santiago?” Emmanuel’s voice remained calm.
He didn’t counter–not yet.
First, he wanted answers.
He thought, Teddy’s strength… his technique… This isn’t just advanced martial arts. It’s reaching the level Santiago had back in Hero’s Village. No doubt about it–he’s in a double–S class.
Teddy’s grin widened. “Heh. I was learning from Santiago before you could even walk.”
With a sudden shift, he grabbed a broken tree branch.
A surge of energy pulsed through it, turning the simple piece of wood into a deadly weapon.
With a sharp swing, he lashed out the Dance of Six Spears at Emmanuel!
