His Unveiled Passion

Chapter 510

Quentin stared at Stephen in shock. "Woah there! Did you really just chug everything down? That's tequila. The good stuff!"

Stephen languidly set the empty glass on the table and said with a smile on his lips, "I'm in a good mood today."

"If that's the case... Here's another!" Xavier cheered as he filled Stephen's glass once more.

Quentin also joined in on the fun, pouring two glasses of liquor. One of them was for himself, while the other, he slid over to Stephen. "A toast to you, buddy. May you and Tessa have a loving and fulfilling life together with lots of little rascals underfoot! Cheers!"

Then, he promptly tilted his head back and downed his entire glass in one go.

Stephen tugged his lips into a smile before drinking both Xavier's and Quentin's offerings.noveldrama

"That's the spirit!" Xavier guffawed.

Quentin started pouring yet another glass. "Let's go another round, boys!"

People gradually flocked over to them upon seeing how lively things were getting.

Soon, Stephen ended up surrounded by his friends, who were eager to see him wasted.

He was in such a good mood that it seemed the word "no" had temporarily disappeared from his vocabulary. He accepted every drink handed to him without complaint.

Tessa happily chatted with her best friends when she noticed the situation unfolding on Stephen's end.

She furrowed her brow slightly before rising to her feet. "I'm going over to check on him."

She walked over to the rowdy group of men and shouted over the cheers, "Go easy on him, okay? Don't go overboard. I'm worried he won't be able to handle it."

Stephen had just finished another glass when she said those words. So, his glass was now empty. She had no idea how many drinks he had indulged in at this point.

His eyes were already starting to look a little unfocused.

Henry teased her, "Oh, look. Tessa's getting worried."

Xavier joked, "You're fulfilling the role of the worried wife so quickly, Tessa. Don't worry. He's fine. This is nothing."

Tessa swept her doubtful gaze across the men. She could tell that Stephen had been drinking very heavily.

Drinking was bad for health. She really couldn't—in good conscience—allow this to continue.

Besides, he had been drinking more than he usually did tonight. Stephen really wasn't much for alcohol.

Quentin was already wasted by this point. He was slouching on the couch, tilting his head as he babbled nonsensically.

Naomi came over to help him up. "You're such a lightweight, but you tried to outdrink Stephen? Look at you now. Stephen's fine and dandy e

straight. Come on. We're going home."

As Naomi led Quentin out, he was still muttering under his breath, "Come on. Another."

Once Quentin and Naomi left, Tessa turned to Stephen and asked him patiently, "Stephen, do you still want to keep drinking?"

Stephen's hazy eyes were filled with amusement as he turned to Xavier and said, "My wife is here for me. I'm afraid our drinking session is over."

Xavier snorted. "Look at you flaunting your happiness in our faces. Is having a wife all that great?"

The corner of Stephen's eyes

crinkled slightly as he retorted, "You

don't have a wife, so you won't understand a thing even if I explained myself to you."

Xavier huffed and waved at Tessa, He had an exasperated look on his face as he remarked, "God, just take him away, Tessa. I'll lose it if hear another word out of him."

Tessa reached out to Stephen. He obediently took her hand and rose to his feet, regarding her lovingly. "My love, let's go home," he said.

Although he said they should go home, they were currently in his villa. The villa was his home, so they were really just heading upstairs to his bedroom.

Once they were in the bedroom, Tessa retrieved a bathrobe and a towel for him. "You should take a shower," she urged.
