His Unveiled Passion

Chapter 428

Quentin wasn't all that brave. So, he would usually avoid any adrenaline-inducing rides at the amusement park.

Naomi chose to sit in the front row, which was the most exciting seat on the roller coaster.

Tessa went to the second row, wisely leaving the seat next to Naomi for Quentin.

Stephen immediately sat next to Tessa. "Tess, are you nervous?"

"A little," she admitted.noveldrama

Stephen reached over and held her hand in his. "It's alright. I'm here."

Tessa felt her heart flutter at his gesture. She didn't pull her hand away from his.

The roller coaster had barely moved an inch when Quentin started screaming for dear life.

In juxtaposition, Naomi was as calm as a lake. She rolled her eyes at him and mocked, "Why bother joining us when you're so scared? Aren't you just asking for it?"

Quentin blurted, "I did it because you like rides like these. Otherwise, I wouldn't—" A screech clawed out of his throat before he could finish his sentence. The roller coaster had sped up whilst he was talking.

Naomi also let out a yell now that the fun had truly begun.

Unlike Quentin's terrified shrieking, Naomi was howling with glee.

Stephen remained unfazed as he held Tessa's hand tightly. Although this was his

first time on a roller coaster, he wasn't the slightest bit afraid.

Tessa's screams wormed into his ears alongside the rush of wind blowing past his hair.

Stephen's grip on her hand tightened, silently accompanying her.

After the ride, Quentin wobbled over to the nearest trash can to throw up.

Naomi stood right beside him, patting his back in comfort as she offered him a bottle of water. "You're really bad at this. Are you seriously going to keep this up?"

Quentin's face was drained of all color from the fright.

Sienna was busy stifling her giggles, thinking, "Look at them acting like a couple. My plan worked out splendidly."

Stephen opened a bottle of water and handed it to Tessa. "Here. Have some water, Tess."

"Thanks," Tessa said before taking a few sips of the water.

"Are you still dizzy?" Stephen asked.

"I'm fine now. I'm not all that dizzy," Tessa replied.

Stephen suggested, "Let's take a break before we go on the next ride."

Tessa hummed agreeably.

Henry had gone off to accompany Samantha to the carousel while the others were screaming their hearts out on the roller coaster. Henry had even taken several photos of her.

"You're so cute, sweetheart," Henry remarked with a smile as he scrolled through the pictures in his gallery.

Sienna and Tessa exchanged a glance upon hearing his words.

The way he was behaving was completely out of the norm. They didn't expect to hear Henry address Samantha so sweetly.

Stephen didn't even flinch when he heard it. In fact, he didn't look the least bit surprised.

After the roller coaster, Naomi eagerly suggested that they choose the haunted house as their next stop.

Quentin still looked pale. His face actually turned a shade paler when he heard that Naomi wanted to go to the haunted house.

Nevertheless, he said nothing to oppose her. Instead, he shoved his discomfort aside and followed her inside.

Tessa and Stephen also decided to

join them, while Sienna decided

against it. She found herself an open

tableat the cafe nearby to rest instead.

This time, Henry and Samantha had chosen to join them.

The minute they stepped foot inside the haunted house, Quentin promptly grabbed onto Naomi's hand and whispered, "Naomi, I'm scared."

Naomi stared at him, utterly speechless.

Before she could say anything, he sidled closer to her and murmured, "Don't walk

so fast. What if those ghosts make a grab for me?"

Naomi huffed in exasperation, "Oh, please. They're just people in a costume! What's there to be scared of?"
