Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1900

Tyler stepped outside, leaving Fiona alone with Anna. Fiona knew it would be easier if Anna told her story herself, rather than hearing it secondhand.

"Mr. Connor, I was assaulted." As soon as Anna said the words, tears streamed down her face. She shook, unable to look up, every part of her reliving the nightmare. "It was Carson. He's part of the Kidd family."

"That night, I went to a friend's birthday party. On my way home, I stopped to use the bathroom. That's when Carson got me. He said he'd been watching me for a long time. He drugged me and took me to a hotel. At first, it was just him. But when I came to, I was barely awake and there were several men on top of me. I was so scared."

"Carson kept taking pictures, like I was just some object to them. When they finished, they left. The hotel cleaning lady found me and tried to call the police, but Carson came back with his guys and beat her up. They dragged me out and dumped me in an alley. Everything hurt-every inch of me, down to the bone."

That's why Golden Glow was a place no one should ever walk into.

"Mr. Connor, everyone at International Glam—they're all people you once saved. They deserve bright, beautiful lives. None of them should ever go near that hellhole."

Fiona's face went dark, her whole body tensed with anger. She glared out the window at the high-rise with "Golden Glow" glowing in huge letters.

"I hear you," Fiona said quietly. "I'll have someone take you to the hospital soon. Don't worry. I protected you before, and I'll keep protecting you."

Her face barely changed, but when she looked at Anna, there was a rare softness in her eyes.

As for the Kidd family, she wasn't letting this go.

"For now, just rest," Fiona told her. "Don't worry about work-I'll have

others cover for you. When you're ready, you can come back. Here's a

card with ten thousand do

no

PIN. Buy whatever you wantd'll also get a new housekeeper to take care of you." She pressed the card into Anna's hand and gently patted her hair. "I promise, I'm not letting those bastards get away with this."

Anna wanted to say something, but in the end, she just swallowed the words. She felt so helpless.

Fiona had already arranged for a driver to take Anna to the hospital. After saying goodbye, any trace of gentleness vanished from Fiona's face.

"We're going to Golden Glow," she said, her voice cold.

"Good," her partner replied. "It's been too long since someone cleaned up that place."

They drove straight to the club, storming up to the entrance. Thenoveldrama

bouncers out front exchanger Bonet

worried looks-who would dare cause trouble at Golden Glow?

"Move," Fiona snapped, kicking one of the guards out of the way. "Tell your boss

to get out here. Now."

The staff all realized at once-they were dealing with someone they couldn't handle.

In no time the manager came

rushing out, a cigarette still

smoldering between his fingers. The

moment he saw Fiona, all the color

drained from his face. Fear took

over.

"Fiona-you... what are you doing here?" he stammered, shoving a bouncer

aside. "Are you stupid? Do you even know who this is? Move it!"

He quickly put out his cigarette, not daring to light up in front of her.
