Fiona led Jane straight to the table.

A few men tried to stand up and offer toasts, but Fiona didn't touch a drop. She just leaned forward, hands on the table, a faint, unreadable smile on her face.

"Ms. Fiona, what brings you here?"

"Is Jane a friend of yours? We're talking about working with the Kidd family. Maybe you could weigh in?"

Fiona just shot them a cold look, her voice dropping, icy and clear. "I heard you forced Jane to drink. She's just a girl-how is she supposed to keep up with all of you?"

Fiona raised an eyebrow, her gaze landing on two of the guys who'd stayed silent the whole time. She gave them a sharp little smile. "You two are you working on the Kidd family project too?"

The two looked caught off guard. One of them managed a weak grin. "We're with Jane."

"Oh, so you're Kidd family people too?"

Fiona's expression turned cold, her voice rising with anger. "You're from the same family. You just sat there, watching Jane drink by herself, and thought that was fine?"

"Ms. Fiona, it's not like that," one of them stammered. "We've both been sick lately, took some antibiotics before coming, so we can't drink."

"Oh? Is that so? What a coincidence." Fiona let out a sigh, clearly not buying it.

Just as the two started to relax, Fiona reached into her pocket, pulled out a box of antibiotics, and tossed it onto the table in front of them. "You say you're on medication, but who saw you take it? No one right? Why don't you take it right now? I promise I won't make you drink if you do."
