Chapter 1865
The moment the three of them walked into the classroom, they could feel the tension thick in the air. It was like a wave of bad vibes rolling straight toward Fiona and her friends, so strong it almost made them stop in their tracks. They glanced at each other, then just shrugged it off and headed to their seats like nothing was wrong.
Fiona noticed Amy's crew shooting her looks sharp enough to cut glass- especially the girls Jane had called out last night. Their glares were so intense, it was like they'd chew her up if they could.
"What did I miss?" Nash frowned, looking genuinely confused.
Fiona and Tyler just exchanged a quick, knowing glance. Fiona lowered her head and started texting Jackson under the desk, not bothering to explain.
Tyler gave Nash the rundown in a few sentences. Nash's eyes lit up; he grinned and gave Tyler a thumbs-up. "Dude, that was perfect."
Honestly, anyone who went around picking on people every day deserved a taste of their own medicine.noveldrama
Nash hadn't been at school yesterday, so he was totally in the dark about what had happened.
On the other side of the room, Amy's friends were whispering furiously.
"Amy, look at Fiona—she's acting like she owns the place. Why should we be scared of her? The Gregorys and the Stonnells are both big families. And she's just from Maple Grove. Who does she think she is, treating us like this?"
"Right? You're too nice, Amy. Even last night, Jane had the nerve to talk to you like that. If you're always this kind, people are just going to walk all over you."
Amy just smiled-sweet, calm, and totally collected. She patted their hands gently. "Don't say that. Fiona isn't like that. I trust her. Plus, she's only trying to help everyone get better at what they do."
Amy always had a way of putting herself on a moral high ground-classic Amy.
Suddenly, she leaned forward and tapped the girl in front of her. "What did Fiona ask you guys to design? Can I see?"
Maybe because Amy never acted stuck up, the girl just handed over her half-finished sketch after a moment's hesitation. "You have to promise not to show anyone else, okay? All our designs are supposed to be secret."
Beating Jane and making it into the top picks-everyone wanted that. At this point, it wasn't just a contest. It was about pride.
Amy looked over the sketch, a stylish, high-end dress. She couldn't help asking a few more questions. "Is everyone doing the same type of thing?"
The girl nodded toward Jane's empty seat Not exactly. Yesterday we asked Jane what she was doing. She said she'd design something from @fashion industry angle, So the rest of us decided to stick with that too. That way, it's easier to compare all the designs at the end?"
As she listened, something clicked for Amy. She turned to look at Fiona, a slightly panicked thought sparking in her mind.
Was Fiona collecting their designs to lay the groundwork for International Glam?
If she was, that was bold-maybe even reckless. Did Fiona really think she could pull it off?
Lost in thought, Amy suddenly realized Fiona was looking straight at her, a little smile playing at her lips.
Had she imagined that?
When Amy blinked, Fiona was back to scrolling on her phone, head down at her desk, like nothing had happened.
Amy took a deep breath, feeling
unsettled. There was something about Fiona that was just impossible to figure out. She needed some air. As soon as Amy walked out, her friends trailed after her, heads down, not saying a word.
What do you think?
