The actress was so mad she nearly passed out. Fiona really had the nerve, didn't she?

She was picking only the fanciest dishes, like she'd never had such delicious food before. Was she just taking advantage of the situation to treat herself?

Each dish was costing in the thousands, and Fiona had already rattled off seven or eight of them. The actress's entire savings were about to be drained.

"Miss, are you sure you want to order so much?" the waiter asked, a bit concerned as he looked at the young girl who couldn't have been more than a teenager. If she couldn't pay up later, it would be pretty embarrassing.

After a moment, the waiter smiled and added, "You know, if you're still hungry later, you can always order more."

Fiona paused, holding the menu tightly. Did they really look like they couldn't afford this? Besides, wasn't there a big spender right there? Why pass up on a free meal? Did she look like a fool?

"No worries, someone else is footing the bill," Fiona said casually, her eyes sliding over to the actress. She chuckled softly, "Isn't that right?"

The actress felt like she'd swallowed a fly, utterly repulsed.

"Yes!" she hissed, practically grinding her teeth, her icy gaze tinged with malice. "Ms. Fiona, order whatever you like. After all, this dinner is in your honor, and you're the one calling the shots."

Her words were so gracefully delivered that even Fiona couldn't help but give her a thumbs up.

It was clear the actress was subtly letting everyone know that Fiona was being inconsiderate, exploiting someone's generosity by choosing only the priciest items.

Fiona went on to order a few more dishes, bringing the total to eleven, which would cost a small fortune.

Before long, the dishes started arriving, each one more beautiful than the last. Fiona raised an eyebrow at the group standing nearby but kept silent.noveldrama

She picked up a piece of fish and placed it in Jackson's bowl, her smile bright. "Brother, try the sweet and sour fish."

Meanwhile, Nash gave an exasperated look to the actress. "Do you all have a habit of watching people eat?"

His comment made the actress and her friends blush with

embarrassment. The actress forced a smite, shot a glare at Fiona, and then strutted out of the private room, her demeanor haughty.

As she left, she couldn't shake off a doubt when she saw Fiona's seemingly innocent act.

She felt a twinge of regret for not having had the chance to talk to Jackson.

Especially since Fiona always had that innocent look, and Jackson was so good

to her, which only made the actress more intrigued by him.

"I don't get why you were so respectful to that little brat Fiona. People like her would've been dealt with back in the day."

The actress frowned at the girl who spoke, eyeing her critically.

She seemed really unhappy with her words.

"What do you know?" The actress stopped, her eyes flashing coldly "No wonder you've been struggling in the industry for five or six years without making a name for yourself."

Hearing this, the girl realized the actress was angry. Usually, they all tiptoed around her, as they depended on her support; without it, they wouldn't even land roles.

"I'm sorry, just got so mad. What gives Fiona the right to act all high and mighty around you? I just can't stand it," the girl said, deliberately linking arms with the actress, her face full of concern.
