Chapter 1741
Chapter 1741:noveldrama
“Rhys, you’re being childish.”
Harlee rested her chin on her hand, observing him intently, seemingly more fascinated by him than the meal before her.
“I’m not old to begin with,” Rhys retorted effortlessly.
Previously, when Harlee had offhandedly mentioned “someone your age” while they were in bed, Rhys had nearly confined her there for three days. She learned not to make such remarks about his age again, quietly accepting the food he served and eating without further comment. Their conversation shifted to discussing the evening’s dishes.
Later, at the hotel, as Rhys took a shower, Harlee sipped red wine alone at the bar. When the sound of water ceased, she made her way to the room.
The bathroom door swung open just as Harlee approached. Rhys emerged from the bathroom wrapped in a towel, covering only what was necessary, just as he always did. It was clear he was resorting to his usual seduction tactics again. Caught off guard, Harlee’s hand instinctively touched Rhys’s abdomen, her gaze playful.
“Honey, you look as fit as ever.”
Rhys encircled her waist, leaned close, and whispered warmly in her ear, “It’s been a while since we showered together.”
“Is that so?” Harlee appeared slightly drunk, her voice and movements more daring than usual.
“Yes, it’s been since our son Felix was born.”

He lifted her effortlessly and carried her toward the bathroom.
“How about letting me pamper you again?” Rhys’s closeness made Harlee gulp subconsciously. She bit his lip gently, her expression dazed.
“Mmm, appealing.”
“I’m fresh and ready for you to enjoy…”
The next morning, Harlee, groggy from the wine, had forgotten her bold antics from the night before. Additionally, Robbie and others had unexpectedly arrived in Winbrough, distracting her from asking why her back was so sore.
Stepping out of her room, Harlee caught the scent of something spicy and robust. Instantly, her stomach rumbled in response.
Robbie turned to see Harlee stepping out and murmured softly, “Harlee, you’re finally awake? Rhys made this breakfast for you. He mentioned he’s tied up with—”
“Work in Winbrough this afternoon and might not return until late, so he said not to wait for him.”
Harlee gently massaged her lower back, masking her discomfort, and replied calmly, “Okay.”
She then proceeded to the table and began to eat.
Robbie noticed her rubbing her back and muttered to himself, impressed, “Rhys sure knows how to keep her busy! Not only did he have her sleep in until late, but she also seemed to need a back rub in the morning! Impressive indeed!” Unable to hold back their hunger any longer, Thiago and Jianna dove in as soon as Harlee started her meal, quickly finishing everything without leaving anything behind.
Once they were done, they played several games in the living room. Eventually, it was Robbie who cleaned up the kitchen.
Later that night, at eleven, Rhys and Patrick returned. Recently, to spend more time with Harlee, Rhys had let his work accumulate, which meant he spent the whole afternoon and evening catching up on tasks in Winbrough.
In the presidential suite bedroom, Harlee, fresh from her shower and too relaxed to bother drying her hair, lounged on the sofa, engrossed in dramas and munching on snacks.
She enjoyed a sweet drink and potato chips while watching the first season of a popular variety show, completely at ease.
After his shower, Rhys noticed Harlee lounging in just a white T-shirt, her long legs exposed and her feet playfully swinging. Men’s laughter occasionally echoed from the TV.
