The World of Beasts: She's Got Their Hearts

Chapter 112

"Aside from the two recording orbs, the six other orbs are my favorite kind. I have never told anyone about it," Analise said.

She looked at the only blue orb. "There's even a huge pocket drive, even though it has the shape of an orb. This is the one."

After she scanned the iris, she realized the blue orb was actually a pocket drive with a huge storage capacity. She had no idea how Gideon managed to make it look like a small orb.

He left a message in the orb, saying that he spent years picking out the material for the blue orb. Not even an SSS-grade psychic pressure would have enough energy to shatter it.

Scott stopped what he was doing and recalled the day he was at Ironhorn Alliance. That was the first day Analise had met Gideon, but he gave her the most intimate embrace ever and even gave her a bracelet as a gift.

Scott might not have known a lot about Gideon, but he had heard something about the latter.

Gideon gave off the impression of a scientist in Shadowhawk Alliance. He stayed in the labs and researched eccentric stuff day after day.

However, he was more than what he seemed. In fact, he was the one with a real say in the alliance. He alone had the power to decide who would be a city lord, and no one would talk back to him.

Word had it that Gideon stripped Nelson of his title and got someone to take his place after what happened at Ironhorn Alliance.

Nelson wanted to wrestle authority from Gideon, but the latter retaliated so ferociously that he had to tuck his tail and run. As of right now, he was laying low in one of the alliances.

As for Gideon, he wasn't in a hurry to send therians to capture Nelson. Instead, he allowed the latter to run away.

"But it'll be a little dangerous to send a potion to him now, given the current situation." Scott gave Analise a concerned look.

"Finlay will come with me," she responded. "I have no idea if Jamari's cohorts were among us. So, I don't feel safe giving it to them."

The Purification Potion was way too important to leave in someone else's hands. She had to personally take it to Gideon.

Once they went back to Hopkins Galaxy Lodge, Analise gave Gideon an interstellar call.

After the call got connected, it was clear that he was much more haggard. The dark circles beneath his eyes were very visible, as if he hadn't had a good sleep in a Tong time. noveldrama

"Why do you look so frazzled?" Analise asked playfully.

"Ana, I haven't slept for three days. Of course, I look like a mess." Gideon's eyes immediately sparkled when he saw her.

"Three days? Are you trying to get

yourself killed?" Analise frowned and watched as he flipped the camera and pointed it at some liquid with strange colors. He must've been conducting research.

"Yeah, and I think I know why you're calling me." Gideon sighed. "But I have been

useless. Ten years, and I'm still no closer to developing it."

Holding a small glass bottle in his hand, he swayed it gently as he avoided her gaze.

Analise's gaze flickered. Wasn't that Purification Potion?

"I can't believe it. Did the future me actually give you this?" At that moment, she

was all but certain that Gideon must've seen a future version of herself.

"Mm-hmm." He nodded. "I have found replacements for most of its components, except for one of the most instrumental pieces. If I can find it 'll be able to develop the potion that would replace Purification Potion."

Raising his gaze, Gideon gave Analise a pitiful look, his eyes reddening from the surge of strong emotions in his heart. "Ana, am I just a useless therian?"

"What makes you say that? Didn't you just say that you just need the last piece?" she assured. "What is it?"

Gideon sighed in response. After a long time, he looked at her. "Actually, I know what it is, but I don't want to..."

Scott gave Gideon a stern look. "Gideon, we have a crisis on our hands. If you can actually develop it, you need to throw hesitation out the window.

"Tell me what the last piece of ingredient is, and I will contact the other alliances to search for it."

"Can you bear to part with it?" Gideon chuckled bitterly and looked at Analise. "Well, I can't."

"Gideon." Analise stared at him. "What exactly do you need? Why did you talk about parting with something? Why can't you do it?"
