The World of Beasts: She's Got Their Hearts

Chapter 109

"Don't spread nonsense, my friend. It sounds like the same thing is happening in every alliance. From what I heard, it's got something to do with a new reagent, and The Reclaimers probably made it."

"Guys, we should be careful with reagents for the time being. It's safer to buy them from reputable stores instead of dealers. Otherwise, you'll get yourself into a big mess if you get reagents made by The Reclaimers."

"Our alliance is rounding up the people who succumbed to the effects of this shady reagent. Anyone who's found with an itchy body will be arrested and taken into a quarantine zone."

"My next-door neighbor was arrested for this, but he has always had a skin condition. What's more, he's an old male, too. With this recent outbreak, he was also thrown into jail. I'm telling you. It's hard to watch an old man suffering like this."

"Well, my friend. We have a crisis on our hands. As long as your symptoms check the boxes, you're going to get arrested and kept for observation, no matter what.

"Otherwise, it's going to be a mess if you go into a frenzy and hurt the people around you."

Fear and panic grasped the therians' hearts. As time went by, the males who were just suffering from itchiness initially also started losing their sanity and became much more aggressive.

Many Cosmoseek users saw leaked video clips from various alliances' prisons and felt relieved that their alliances arrested and quarantined these therians at the soonest.

The commanders and city lords also initiated Interstellar Conference and swapped information about their respective alliances using the Interstellar Communication Line.

Analise had been spending most of her time in Hopkins Galaxy Lodge at Stormclaw Alliance recently.

After Hector's interrogation, he was temporarily detained in the dungeon cells on charges of suspected collusion with The Reclaimers.

At the same time, Scott issued an official order to arrest Jamari at the Khielson residence and bring him in for interrogation. However, Finlay and Derek didn't know that he was no longer there until they went in with their team.

"Did he escape?"

In the end, Scott had no choice but to conduct a city-wide search for Jamari and ordered strict control over starship stations.

Hector said that Jamari was at home when he went out, and there were no records of Jamari departing from the starship stations.

With these in mind, it was very likely that Jamari was still hiding in Stormclaw City. In fact, he might've known that he couldn't keep the truth under wraps anymore. Vera had talked to Analise several times because of what happened to Hector. SugarBunny texted, "How did it go, Ana? Was Hector subjected to punishment?" F-grade Pure Human replied, "No, but he was locked up in the dungeon cells below Hopkins Galaxy Lodge."

SugarBunny asked, "Why? It's not that bad, right? Scott has to show the Khielson family some respect. How could he lock Hector up over something like that?"

F-grade Pure Human responded, "It's not about Derek's incident. Hector has been in touch with members of The Reclaimers. As of now, he's suspected of colluding with them."

At first, Vera was just asking Analise through Cosmoseek if Hector was subjected

to disciplinary actions. After all, his injuries were serious.

When Vera learned that he was sent to the dungeon cells because of a suspected collusion with The Reclaimer's, she basically rushed over to Hopkins Galaxy Lodge, She had to meet him in person tofind out that he was most probably manipulated by Jamari.

"Damn it! I knew he had some ulterior motives. It was strange how he suddenly got chummy with you!"

Vera stomped her foot and shot Hector an exasperated and disappointed look. "He sold you out, and yet you're still foolishly defending him!"

Now, they couldn't arrest Jamari, which meant no one could clear Hector's name.

Thus, he had to be locked up in the dungeon cells for the time being.

After Vera returned home, she also made her mate search for Jamari in Stormclaw City.

As for Lily she refused to believe

that Hector and Jamari would collude with The Reclaimers. In her

mind, Scott and Analise set the

whole intricate plot up to undermine the Khielson family.

She went to Hopkins Galaxy Lodge and made a lot of fusses for days on end. Flat out of options, Analise went to the dungeon cells and dragged Hector out.

After he personally admitted to Lily that he did have some transactions with the members of The Reclaimers, Lily finally left the lodge, wiping away her tears as she sobbed.

Alvaro also stormed over as soon as he learned about the incident.

"Scott, Hector would never conspire with The Reclaimers. He must've been duped or manipulated! I'm not sure if it's Third Dad. We'll never know until we find him, and I will

help you track him down. You have my word."

Alvaro was confident that Hector was deceived. He made the promise to help with

the search because he wanted Hector to be released.
